Replace "Oz" with "Oprah". My sister thought she was God. It was/is disgusting what spews out of their mouths and people actually stop and listen. Just my opinion of course...

Last night I watched a great DVD, Forks over Knives. It's about how one can lessen or reverse many chronic health problems by eating a plant-based diet. I started about a month ago and though I haven't lost much weight - probably due to eating too many plant-based items, the pain in my hips and knees has lessened, I sleep…

My usual smoothie is 1 cup of unsweetened coconut milk, 1 cup of blueberries, 1/2 banana, maybe a strawberry or two, and a big handful of spinach. Once in a while I toss in a scoop of protein powder. YUM lol the other day I made my own version of a V-8: 1 cup organic carrot juice, 1 whole tomato, sliced, a pinch of fresh…

1. 2 jars of Dale's raw protein powder 2. Medical coding books from Amazon 3. Groupon for kitchen stuff 4. Groupon for pocket camera. (I LOVE Groupon!) lol

Online: Dale's raw protein powder. It's all plant based, dehydrated below 115 degrees so it retains all nutrients, no whey, no sugars, all organic and healthy. I put it in many of my veggie smoothies. It's made with pea, hemp and rice proteins. 1 scoop is 91 cal, 1 g fat, 1 g carb, 20 g protein. It's fabulous!

I've tried a few but Once Again Raw Creamy Almond Butter is THE best I've ever had. It doesn't get hard in the fridge and tastes so good it's almost like a dessert.

I usually put ground flax seeds in my baking; muffins-in-a-minute are yummy with blueberries, quick to make (naturally!) and my own recipe for crackers. I also use ground flax seeds for my smoothies. I put chia seeds on or in my salads. Make sure they don't stick to your teeth! Both are such an easy way to get extra…

I don't have to be at work until 9:30 a.m. so I'm up between 5-6 and get in a good 2 mi walk with hand weights then come home and stretch or hit the elliptical/treadmill/weights for 45-60 min. It makes a world of difference to me to do it early, otherwise I would find any excuse possible to NOT exercise in the afternoon.…

Thanks for the article. I'm 24/25, not bad. But what rock have I been under? Lychee? Sounds more like a yoga pose to me. :) I'll have to look for some and try them out. My problem is that though I go to a Nutritionist/dietician at an eating disorder clinic, I'm not losing weight. Even she said I shouldn't be having…

The same thing happens to me with oranges; orange juice, even someone just peeling the dang thing. My throat itches, I cough, difficult to breathe. what's funny is that I can't even drink orange pop; same thing happens and there's not a real orange-anything in that. i can eat grapefruit and have no problems with…

I am sooo guilty of doing this! It's nice to know I'm not the only one. It bogs down my mind some days. (I think way too much!) My thought is if it's gone then I won't have to worry about craving it so I eat it all, usually in 1 or 2 sittings. Once the bf brought over a peach pie and we had our 1 piece each. As soon as he…
