I drank quite heavily for many years until one night something made me stop. I knew I would die if I finished the drink I had in my hand. It took therapy to figure out the reason I let alcohol become my crutch. I've been alcohol free since '07 and damn proud of myself. I still crave it but know that with even one sip I'd…

We all can probably say.. shoulda..coulda..woulda.. at some point in our lives.. maybe more than once.. but we all should pick up and get on like you did. Congrats again.. and…

They helped lower my blood pressure and also helped as a diuretic. I had a smoothie every morning until I started a food plan I'm experimenting with. I will start back up with the smoothies in 2 weeks. They were great for my skin and gave me extra energy. I felt full but a good full. :)

Good Luck! My daughter, who is a marathoner, uses men's shoes. She says they have more support in the right areas for her.

If it works for you keep it up!! I've thought about digging out my juicer and juicing 1 drink per day. Last summer I did a fast and lowered my bp and glucose immediately and had lots of energy. Unfortunately, I stopped completely, which was foolish. Having 1 glass a day would be beneficial to me.

Fantastic! You should be so very very proud!! You've done a great job and look fabulous.

Congratulations, you look fantastic! Time is a great healer for broken hearts.. plus your determination to tone up. Keep it up, you're doing a great job!!

sounds good but to me it has a lot of sugar. I like 1 cup spinach 1 TBL ground chia seeds 1/4 cup goji berries 1/4 cup strawberries 1 cup carrageenan free almond milk sometimes add a small banana so many variations out there.

WOW! What a truly amazing, uplifting story. Thank you so much for sharing!

Hi. You can add me if you wish. I just started back a couple weeks ago and the encouragement I'm getting on here is helping me stay motivated to eat cleanly and get more exercise. I'm more determined than ever to stay on the path of clean living.
-
WOW! Congratulations!! What an inspiration you are.

I'm 'older' and have a LOT to lose. Add me if you wish.. I need inspiration too - I'm back after a long absence, unfortunately I gained weight during that time.

I can't believe it's been 20 years already. For the 'chase', I was living in Ohio at the time, sitting on my ottoman in front of the tv with my daughter thinking I should be packing for our drive up to Minnesota. We even listened to it in the car until it ended. I wanted a nap then. LOL For the verdict, I was still in Ohio…

For now I'm a walker... and I had to go with men's cross trainer shoes due to their natural extra width in the toe area. No more blisters for me! Nike fits me the best too.

Everything sounds so good. I water sautéed some garlic, onion, mushrooms, carrots, shrimp and lastly spinach. Mighty tasty and have lots of leftovers. I'll cook some mung bean fettuccini to toss with it for lunch tomorrow.

I, too, have had a very difficult time getting started.. again. I want to lose >100 lbs and just wasn't motivated to do anything. What really woke me up was when my right ankle puffed up like a puffer fish. I was stunned but then realized it was my body's way of telling me I need to wake up and start eating right/exercise…

Oh boy, do I ever know what that feeling is like. I get giddy when I make it home after work without veering off to the land of chips and dip. It's such a positive boost that even I'll want to exercise! For the 2nd time that day. Wow. :)

chips, chips and more chips. Love Ridges chips & French onion dip. The cravings are intense.

It's really amazing how a smile and a "thanks for your concern" seems to confuse the instigator. It's almost as if they want to hurt us because deep down inside they are so jealous of your accomplishments. Do what is right for YOU. I have family and a partner who love to sabotage my eating plans. I've finally (FINALLY!)…

Wow. Great job!!

I lost 3.2 lbs this week. Yay. It's been a frustrating week but am taking it as one foot in front of the other, hour by hour, etc. On to the next one... :) Best of luck to all.

W.O.W.! You look fabulous. What an inspiration!!

I'm in!! CW: 287.6 GW by 12/31: 250.0 I plan to eat more raw foods and limit eating out, no more "mindless" eating either, walk 2-3 miles at least 3x per week - more as the weight comes off. Work on getting more sleep. Yes! I can do this. :) Mary

I saw it too. He is very inspirational, loved his smile and determination!! I didn't go for a run this morning but got in a nice walk already.

When I was 17 my doctor told me I was FAT (with a capital F!). I was 5'7", weighed 125. (The Dr. was probably 6', weighed 300+ and smoked while examing me... Ya, I'm dating myself..lol) Talk about being in diet H*%L ever since.. Now I dream about being that weight or even close to it.
-
Just let me step back a little bit to get in the picture...
-
this is hysterical! thanks for my morning laugh.
