I gained 5 pounds over the past week. It was textbook for me - not working out + eating a ton of high-fat, super rich, sodium filled food = 5 pound weight gain! A few pounds is probably water weight, because I feel totally bloated, but it's okay. Today is a new day and today I get to make a decision to get back on track,…

You know it's a hard thing to accept when you are faced with weight gain after you worked so hard to lose it. But I've found that each time I learned something about myself - how I handled situations, what was driving me to eat and not care about it, and from that I learned how to handle situations without turning to food…

I totally know how you feel. We are all food addicts and use food to help us with our emotions, as it was mentioned earlier. I know that when someone or something upset me I would grab a cheeseburger and fries. It made me feel better right then and there, but the problem still existed. Unfortunately, there are no tricks to the weight-loss game. There may be ways to cheat, but as we all know cheating usually gets us back right where we started. Whatever you do don't cut back on your breakfast calories. That is the most important meal of the day, so you should consume all of your allotted calories. Sounds like you are doing everything that you need too! I too can become addicted to the scale in hopes that my working out will push my weight down faster and I'm always disappointed when I get on the scale to see that I've gained weight. I try to weigh myself once every few weeks since your body weight can change so…

In all honesty most of the guys are so into their workouts that they don't pay attention to anyone else. I know what it's like to be the "big girl" at the gym, but I get my butt there and work it! Intimidation will go away as soon as you conquer the fear...happy lifting! :)

I wouldn't induldge. Since you didn't eat well over the weekend your body now wants junk! Ask yourself why you really want this food. It sounds like me when I'm emotionally eating.

No need to panic. Your weight can fluctuate 5-10 pounds in either direct based on what you have been eating. One of the posts mentioned sodium which can play a part in water retention, thus the weight gain. If your clothes are still fitting you the same, then I wouldn't worry about it. Good luck!!
