  • I see most peopel on here have hypothyroidism. I'm the opposite. I have hyperthyroidism. Unfortunately I am in the small percent who gained instead of lost. Now that I'm on medication and my levels are getting close to normal I'm gaining like crazy. I'm on PTU and also heart meds that have also contributed to my weight…

  • I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism lst winter. I take PTU. It has caused me aches and pains and weight gain. Not to mention it's damaging my liver! Anyone else on PTU?

  • I was feeling pretty good until last winter when menopause kicked in plus and undiagnosed thyroid issue. I'm now on progesterone for heavy bleeding and PTU for my over active thyroid. They both seem to be causing extra weight gain.
