I have been hypothyroid for many years with frustrating dr's visits. Many GP's believe you're fine if you're in the normal range. NOT true. See an Endocrinologist! They are in in-tune with modern practices for treating the disease. I good Endo will listen to your symptoms and treat you accordingly while monitoring levels.…

If your doctor is not an Endocrinologist, then go see an Endocrinologist. If he/she is one, find a different Endocrinologist. I was well within the normal range of TSH and my PCP told me there was nothing wrong with me. I knew better and went to an Endocrinologist and I am now on twice the dose for me to feel well. My TSH…

I have alcohol most every day. Mostly wine but sometimes beer. I make sure I eat my BMR in nutritious food and then exercise to "earn" my wine/beer. I love my nightly treat so it gives me motivation to exercise. No exercise, no wine :-( I do log it just like the food. It seems to work for me.

I found it helpful to promise myself that I WILL log EVERYTHING I consume EVEN if I go over my total daily totals. This way I can see where the damage happened for the week if I have a flat week. Try Arnold or Prepridge Farm Sandwich Thins. They are 100 calorise, 5 grams of fiber, and are delicious. Although thin, they are still satisfying and make you feel like you're still haveing a sandwich.
