I weigh in on Monday mornings... but I plan to kick myself back into gear. :-)

Nope, walking is a great way to start your fitness journey. Perhaps your neighbor has a chip on his shoulder... If you are interested, check out Leslie sansone walking DVDs or VHS .... Or for free samples a few of her DVDs are on YouTube.

If my workout is dance- I normally stick with the dance genre's music, i.e. bhangra, bellydance, irish, disco, hula, ballet, etc.. If I'm just doing a walk video or walk/run workout- I use my iPod that has a wide variety of music- but right now I listen a lot to Rockethead and electro swing (both can be found free on…

thermal leggings are great... i.e. http://www.amazon.com/Ladies-Knit-Thermal-Base-Layer/dp/B004A6403S/ref=sr_1_18?ie=UTF8&qid=1320240117&sr=8-18 i"m not promoting amazon- it was just the easiest place for me to search.

Yeah it's totally fun. Bowser's dance is difficult on easy... and on difficult? It's insane! ;-) But OMG the game is fun! What's great is that it has different levels: easy, normal, hard, difficult... I can complete the full game on easy- Bowser is the only one that gives me trouble, but I've never been able to get it all…

I play Dance Dance Mario (it's a Nintendo Gamecube Game- but still works in the Wii)- It's awesome :-)

When I bought my Wii, I got the Sport/Resort Sport game for free. To supplement my more "active" games on the Wii, I ended up getting Wii Fit, Gold's Gym Boxing game, and the Active (and more workouts for Active). I played all of them and decided to sell the Gold's Gym Boxing game and the Active games. I'm only going to…

After reviewing the comments made to the original post I'm a bit scared to post, but there are ways to get protein (and build muscle) that don't necessarily include eating meat and dairy and eggs. There are plenty of books on vegan nutrition. One of the books I have read on being vegan is: Becoming Vegan: The Complete…

I have one DVD that uses an exercise ball- and I love it! Liz Gilles (I think that's her name)- Pilates & Ball Workout. It is set up with three 30-min workouts.

I'd love to join the April Challenge :-)

I tried the classic 57 min workout - vol 1 and had a total blast! The lead girl is zany & fun, and I really felt like I accomplished something when i was done with it. Highly recommend it!!! :-) Anniversary was great too :-)

Bump and whatnot... I gave my Fluidity workouts a last try and ultimately ended up selling the dvds, and kept the Fluidity Bar. I like the Fluidity Bar, it's very steady and I can use it with my other dance and workout dvds that need a barre with it. I just got so tired of the dvds that came with it. As an update- i did go…

Reading this topic has made me review my dvd inventory and i found some fantastic bellydance instruction dvds... There's a couple Tribal Fusion (bellydance) dvds that I bought that I'm super excited to try. The instructor of the dvd is Sahira.

I'm getting Physique 57 delivered today and will check out the dvds tonight (would like to start my own Physique 57 program on Saturday, but it's my anniversary so I'll probably start on Sunday or Monday). I'll do a review of it and maybe post it on forum or just do that blog thing. :-)

Very well said!

totally!

lol, totally understand what you mean about working out with Chalean Johnson... she's pretty tough.
-
I have the 4 mile challenge DVD... and it is about 1 hour for the 4 miles- but I'm not entirely sure what to log it as... since it's a bit more than just walking.

That's really cool about getting xtend barre so cheap :-). Yeah I'm a big fan of being both buyer & seller on amazon and eBay. I know that Physique 57 has 4 DVDs that are about 30 mins each. The remaining 2 of the set of 6 are 60 mins long.

I love the fluidity bar.... but not a big fan of the Fluidity dvds. The workout itself is fine,... but the instructor's voice and how she carries on is a bit annoying. I'm going to be trying Physique 57 and Xtend Barre... (I'm getting Physique 57 this Friday actually :-) yay!) They both use a barre (or a chair if you don't…

lol... perhaps I shouldn't have checked out amazon after all, I found a new must have vegan cookbook... Appetite for Reduction: 125 Fast and Filling Low-Fat Vegan Recipes Apparently it's good for diets :-) :-) I both blame and thank this forum thread :-)
-
I almost forgot to mention, if you want to watch vegan cooking shows, I suggest Everyday Dish TV at http://www.everydaydish.tv/?page=recipe&recipe=93 I love cooking shows but not many cater to vegans & vegetarians like Everyday Dish TV does :-)
-
Veganomicon: The Ultimate Vegan Cookbook is one of the ones I have. I really like it. I also have The Mediterranean Vegan Kitchen. That one's pretty nice :-)

Funny... I looked at this thread expecting to read opinions of times that people recommend to eat, but most of what I see is a "I'm smarter than you" competition. Really? I'm assuming most of the people on this forum are adults, but apparently even "adults" like to play games like that and try to throw their education…

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XOMtF6irGNg&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=In1bptHtm0I&feature=related It's split into 4 different segments, I have one of their dvds- I have a LOT of fun with it. To supplement my interest in bellydance, I bought actual dvds on bellydance instruction- not just bellydance…

Maybe you're allergic to one of the ingredients? Have you had this smoothie/shake before without feeling like that?

Snacks I bring to work are: organic mini carrots (all ready peeled and ready to eat) from Trader Joes. celery sticks (I prepare at home and put in container) with organic regular hummus- trader joes organic light string cheese (Trader Joes) I hadn't thought of bringing my peanut butter for the celery sticks, but that's a…
