I find the bulk of my "try something new" meals in skinnytaste.com. Everything I've tried has turned out great, but just remember to chose ingredients that correlate to your calorie count.

What works for me is counting my calories and creating a calorie deficit proporional to my BMI not over eating and stopping eating when I'm full. I know this sounds crazy, but google whatever you crave and sometimes seeing it makes it go away ( like food porn lol) It really helps me get through the snacking, and when I'm hungry I drink water then find out if I'm hungry or just thirsty.
