what about a tin of healthy soup and some peanut butter on toast? A whole tin of say vegetable soup usually comes in under 200 cals, peanut butter on toast (1 teaspoon!) is about 150. The weight of the soup and the fact its liquid will fill you up, and the peanut butter and toast will feel like a treat / desert.

The 'machines' could be your problem. They're nowhere near as good as free weights, cables, dumbells etc. Check out this site www.musclehack.com, before you laugh, i appreciate you're probably not into body building and aren't going to follow any sort of bulking up plan etc etc, however some of the articles are well worth…

Was that aimed at me? If so i lost most of that before i even knew about MFP. I just ate healthily! no fad diets or anything. I used to eat A LOT, so when i first started all i did was replace the junk food i was eating with heailthier foods and still eat quite a lot! I'd still have a big plate of dinner, but instead of…

How's everyone getting on? My goal is close to 100lbs in total and i've lost 69lbs so far in around 5 months, so it is possible! I doubt i lose my weight the 'right' way or the way MFP dictates you should, but i didn't starve myself, i ate well and it worked, so if anyone wants to chat feel free.

Something as simple as beans on toast is good, excellent source of protein too! Two slices of bread, a whole tin of beans and a teaspoon of butter will tot up to not a lot more than 400 calories. Very filling, lots of protein and very little fat.

Makes sense It's what i did at first, chicken, beef or fish with vegetables, few potatoes or similar for tea most nights, lost a lot of weight very fast then really got into the swing of things and began to expand my diet to things just as healthy. 5 months later i'm 69lbs lighter. You do eventually get used to it and…

Glad to see some othes share the same view as me! I do take protein shakes when i do weight training, usually 2 a day on days when i've been weight training - one after workout and one before bed, quite often one the next morning too. As someone stated earlier, you want to be losing fat not muscle mass and although i said…

What about a peanut butter and banana toasted sandwich? Not sure how you would go about fitting it into your meal / snack plan etc, but personally i eat lots of small meals every 3-4 hours as opposed to big meal - snack - big meal - snack etc,, that helps to keep me full / satisfied at night as my last meal is usually…

Hello I'm new here but this time in February i was in the same boat as you, except i weighed 252lbs! My diet was awful, i ate junk food daily, no healthy foods, no vegetables, no cereals - processed junk at every opportunity. When i first started i didn't want to overdo my diet as i knew i wouldn't stick it, so try this...…
