Hi! Make sure that you don't have heat rash on your face...it might not be acne. Washing before and after workouts should help, but if it doesn't go away, see a doc!

Once your doctor gives you clearance, try doing something you actually enjoy, because that will help you make movement a lifestyle change. Walking, dancing, even riding a stationary recumbent bike might be better for you at this point than trying to do something strenuous that doesn't feel rewarding. I started off at one…

The Hubs and I did Frankenstein/Bride of Frankenstein one year. So fun! Easy other idea - Black turtleneck, black skirt, black tights, black boots, cat ear headband + catlike makeup. Dress like a celebrity that is distinctive - I got a beehive wig one year, some temporary tattoos and mega-eyeliner dressed like Amy…

I always enjoyed listening to Susan Powter, not because I agreed with everything she said (I so do NOT agree with all of it!!), but she often said things that gave me something to think about. She referred to the occasional soda or artificially flavored treat as "poison." As in sarcastically saying something to the effect,…

That escalated quickly... OP, I don't have the scientific knowledge for whether or not this breakfast coaxes weight loss, but it's good and filling and has both fiber and protein...and a little fat, too: a good sized apple and an ounce or two of sharp cheddar cheese. YUM!

I still don't know why. I have some educated guesses. When I worked in retail management, I was on my feet all day, every day. When I ate lunch or dinner, it was usually standing up, in the back room doorway, and it was something low calorie, like baked pretzel sticks. At my last job, I averaged between 60 and 70 hours per…

I have found that in relationships where I consistantly find myself feeling bad that it's perfectly acceptable to put some distance between myself and the person inflicting discomfort. You are young - so young! - and so you are still surprised and hurt when people aren't careful with your feelings. But I'll tell you…

If you check out my user name, you'll know just how happy for you that I am right now. Congratulations!! You look fantastic!

I use it sometimes to make popcorn on the stovetop. However, be careful how you store it. I had the last third stored in a cabinet above our coffee maker. The heat from the maker caused the oil to spoil and liquefy. I had to toss it. :(

First, you're beautiful inside and out. Second, I think it's so awesome that you shared this. It never occured to me that time, patience and exercise could help skin retract. I know there are limits to that, especially as our elasticin begins to break down in our skin over time. But what a difference you've made all on…

Amazing difference and lots to be proud of! Congratulations!

Hi! Not positive if you're more concerned about the plateau or your period, but I recommend getting to a doctor, just to be on the safe side, to make sure nothing is medically wrong/interrupting your cycle. Lots of things, including stress from school, can cause your period to stop. A major weight loss (congratulations!)…

Congratulations! I'm so disappointed, though, that your food diary shows really, really low (like 100 - 300 cals) food intake! Yep, I was so inspired by your awesome photos that I looked. Surely you're having more than coffee, fruit and oatmeal?!

I generally don't eat fast food for a lot of reasons...mostly because I don't like it! And I'm a pescetarian, so fish is usually fried (I don't like that) or the salads are super crappy with flavorless cheap lettuce. That said, I do think that some foods may trigger other cravings. It seems to work that way for me. If I…

Congratulations on your baby girl! I'd say do only things that are sustainable and practical, which I think you are. Just make sure you don't go too low on the calories. I like the protein, exercising, no alcohol and low sodium...all nice, reasonable changes that can jump start your efforts. I'd say set a goal for yourself…

Bigelow Earl Grey. You don't even need sugar or cream. It smells amazing. If I could find a way to wear it like perfume, I would!

Next month will be one year since I quit and I have never been happier! The best part is how repulsed I am by smoke now and I can't imagine ever picking it up again. I read Alan Carr's Easy Way to Quit Smoking and it was the best money I ever spent (I see e-versions for $7 - $11 out there). I have also bought copies and…

I can't even take her experiment seriously. She lacks empathy and intelligence. I'm always surprised when really lame people get this much attention!

I believe in total honesty. That said, I trust my husband and I know he had a life before he met me. I don't expect him to detail every little experience he's ever had or mistake he's ever made...I don't consider that an omission, either. After more than a precious decade together, I know (and adore) who he is. I know the…

Remarkable and inspiring!!

Bump because I'm crazy busy today, but I love me some good ghost stories...

I have a desk job, too - 7:30 - 5:00ish - and also a nasty habit of working through my lunch because there is SO MUCH TO DO! Then I have a nasty commute home that takes 45 minutes to an hour. And I'm the cook in the house...my husband has started learning, but we both like my cooking and it's easier for me to do it. That…

I have heard some people say, "It's stupid," and "Who needs pre-packaged foods?" but I DON'T use it because I'm too lazy to go to the store and measure out snacks in little baggies. I do it because: I super like getting packages in the mail. I am a silly dork that way. It's an adventure in flavors, seasonings and…

We go out west regularly and our Phoenix family members inevitably want to go to Vegas for a few days. I don't understand the kids and strollers on The Strip. Unavoidably, there are drunk people, folks with the little "Stripper MVP Cards" littering the sidewalks with nearly nude pics, and it's just not an environment I'd…

I kept my Fitbit Force even though it was recalled because I love it so much! I ride an exercise bike and it records that activity nicely, as well as captures my brisk walks to and from my car in the parking lot at work each day. Give it time!

Same spot as you - lots of produce and no meat for me, just fish, and The Hubs eats some meat. We spend about $125 - $150 per week and don't eat any meals out. I don't regret a dime of it!

It sounds like lunch and dinner are where you would like to have most of your calories, so I recommend: - Having a low cal, meaningful breakfast. If it's a hard boiled egg or a handful of almonds or a balanced breakfast bar, pair it with unsweetened coffe or tea or water. That way you feel full and you have more calories…

I am going to try this, thanks! I've been roasting them with a little lemon juice and olive oil, then tossing them in plain breadcrumbs, a bit of lemon zest and shredded parm while they're stll hot. UNREAL! I had never had a Brussels Sprout until last year!

Onions (all kinds) Peppers (red and green) Celery Cucumbers Carrots Yukon Gold potatoes Red potatoes Tomatoes (fresh and canned) Portabella mushrooms White mushrooms Fish Pork (for my husband...none for me, thanks!) Uncured bacon (again, for The Hubs! It's nitrate free.) Fresh parmesan Fresh mozzerella Pinot grigio Canned…
