I use protein shakes because as a mostly-vegetarian, I never get enough protein. It doesn't stop my weight loss. I actually try to add a lil powder to almost everything I eat and it's reaaaallly helped with my losses. I'm on a low carb, high protein diet. :)

I think eating a very clean diet and doing some serious strength training may help, although it will probably still be there until you are down to a low BF %

I think the c25k program is great for beginners. I did it last year but I already had a background in running... by the time I hit the 4-5th week, I quit to do my own thing because I felt confident. I think it matters a lot! You can just limit your calories but it won't do much to your form. You might lose all your weight but still feel unhappy. It's important, esp. if you are working out, to maintain a diet that is full of protein and veggies. Your body will change a lot faster if you eat correctly.

yea it's really hard for me to lose weight with my hubby. he likes to do bodybuilding and currently he's bulking, so he eats like 4000 cal a day or something. :[ it's really hard to keep up with eating healthy when he's sitting there eating whatever he wants. we also have been going out to eat for ageees as entertainment.…
