All these ladies saying that they're not at the gym to be hit on...well, are you really ANYWHERE (besides maybe a bar on girls night out) with the intention of being hit on? I know I don't go to the grocery store with the purpose of getting hit on, or to the gas station, or to Target, or wherever...but I have gotten hit on…

TRUUUEEEEEE STORY. It's not that I go to the gym thinking "I sure hope I get hit on today!" but if I do, I'm cool with it. I will get my sweat on regardless of if I get hit on or not, so what's the harm in a guy acting on his attraction to me?? Even though I've got a boyfriend, I don't wear a sign on my forehead that says…

I've had a few guys approach me at the gym, and none of them were rude/annoying/creepy. The douchey guys tend to just try and show off how much they can bench then throw their dumbbells on the ground to draw attention. THAT'S annoying. But anyway, one of the guys, who I've become friends with, we chit chat for a minute…

Did you do laundry when you were gaining weight/overweight/not getting healthy? I know I did. I got fat while still doing laundry, cleaning my house, etc, so I don't know why I would log it now as exercise. Makes no sense to me. Also, no, your normal every day calorie burn is NOT just what you burn by functioning, that…

Real women can't also have lower body fat percentage and be more physically fit or have an athletic physique? Real women can't be very slim with fewer "curves"? Weird. Guess I don't want to be a real woman then.

I usually hit the gym after work around 6pm...not for any special reason other than logistics. But on the weekends I like to get my workout done first thing when I wake up. If I go for a run, it has to be pretty early these days because it's a million degrees outside by 9am, but ideally, when the weather cooperates, I like…

Well....Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition would beg to differ....but I get your point. I like a bit leaner look on a model, but for your regular every day chick, she looks great.

I also don't buy that she's 125lbs. I'd say 140ish. I read media outlets alllll the time that post the weight of different celebs and half the time it's ridiculous. I read somewhere that Jessica Simpson (pre-pregnancy) had "ballooned" up to 140 lbs and she was desperate to get down to a healthy weight of 115 lbs. I'm the…

I agree, she's definitely somewhere around 25ish %. She has the right body proportions to handle higher body fat % and still look good, definitely some genetics at work there.

Eh I'm not a huge fan of Kate Upton---as a runway model. She's a little too...bouncy, in my opinion for the runway. And for some reason she comes off as cheap to me in many of her photos. I can't really put my finger on it. She's not fat, I mean, I'm sure I'm bigger than she is, but her body fat % is probably quite a bit…

That's how I feel. I work full time and have a 5 year old little boy...I just make it a priority and I make it work. I actually have a social life too, imagine that! Plus I'm the queen of extremely fast dinner preparation lol

Hell yeah girl! IDGAF about my stretch marks anymore, I've worked too hard for my body to not wear cute bikinis  I just got the one I'm wearing in my profile pic a week or so ago, I love it!

I typically do my HIIT on different days than strength training OR if I have to do them on the same day, I'll do one in the morning and one in the evening. Otherwise I'm either too tired from HIIT to lift efficiently, or I'm too tired from lifting to do much in the way of HIIT. I prefer to be able to do both at full…

Thank you!! I'm 5'3". I generally do a couple days of HIIT on the treadmill each week, and one day of a long run, plus 3 days of heavy strength training and sometimes I take a cardio kickboxing class at my gym (I wind up going maybe once a week to once every couple weeks). As for diet, I eat pretty clean and stay away from…

I'm about halfway to goal in the bottom pic...the stretch marks have faded but will never be totally gone, but I'm cool with that  sorry the before pics are such crappy quality!
-
I'm actually wearing the bikini I wanted to wear at goal in my profile pic---but maybe I'd just like the bottoms to be a size smaller now! Also, short shorts without serious chub-rub and jiggling. That would be awesome. And anything super tight and form fitting. So, basically, I want to be able to dress like a stripper.

I'm not a tiny stick figure and I wear them all the time, and I think I look damn good! Maybe I'm just really conceited...

1:20pm and I've had 643 calories so far. Got an afternoon snack planned out (which will be roughly 130 calories) then something for dinner that I haven't figured out yet. Also, at least one beer...I'm going to a baseball game tonight, beer is essential.

Dude seriously, I would LOVE to be at 23%! My ultimate goal is somewhere between 18-20%, but considering I'm at 29% right now and I think I look alright, 23 would be awesome.
-
I just tried that one and it says i'm 33%. I find that pretty hard to believe. I got measured by a trainer at my heaviest (3 pants sizes ago and 25 lbs ago) and I was 35%....I think this one, that takes the average of several different measurements is a bit more accurate http://www.gymgoal.com/dtool_fat.html

If it's a sincere compliment, and it's something kind then I love it! I had a random woman tell me I had great hair one day at Target. Just out of the blue, and it totally made my day! And another time I was standing in line at the bank and an older man, I'd say in his 60s or so, said to me "Pardon me, but you are just the…
-
No prob! I take my measurements once a month and use that same calculator, pretty accurate as far as I can tell.
-
There are a few ways, some more accurate than others. You can have it measured via calipers or via one of those hand held electro-magnetic things by a trainer/doctor (they offer free body comp tests at my gym, where I had my first one done), find a place where you can be measured via bod pod in your area (can be expensive,…

BMI and body fat % are 2 completely different things. One is a ratio based on your weight vs your height and the other is the measure of your lean body mass vs your body fat.
-
It depends on the person...you can be extremely muscled or extremely thin and be the same body fat percentage. A couple weeks ago I measured around 29% body fat (although I think I look a bit better than the model at 25-26%, because of my weight distribution) and I'm shooting for somewhere around the 18-20% mark. I'll see…

I find that the stuff in numbered sizes at Express tend to run pretty true to size, but anything that's small/medium/large is total vanity sizing. I got a size medium dress from there when I was at my heaviest and it was a little big....ummm no way I was actually a size small!
-
SERIOUSLY! I have a shirt from there that's a size Small---that I bought at my heaviest of 170lbs. No WAY I was a real size small! Oh and Old Navy makes me feel like a skinny *kitten*, I usually wear a size smaller there than anywhere else.
-
Bahaha my prom dress was awesome too! I totally still have it hanging in my closet...hope to fit into it again one day...
-
I was in musical theater, vice president of the show choir, and my boyfriend dumped me 6 weeks before the prom so I didn't have a date. Needless to say, I was REALLY cool in high school.

I tan REALLY easily, even though I always wear sunscreen and am really cautious and protective of my skin. People usually think I'm Hispanic because I'm so dark (I am white, yes, I promise, English, French, and German), and I'm actually envious of my much fairer skinned mother. For a really dumb reason too lol...I LOVE…
