Fabulous! I bet people don't even recognize you now! :-)

Gary, that is one incredible story! Thank you for the inspiration!

I live in the States, where I drive a small (Saturn Vue) SUV, because I have to carry a lot of stuff for my work, and gas prices are hitting me in the wallet too. I am British, and I go over for a month every year (except this year! :-( ), where I pay an arm and a leg for petrol, so I know that we in America should be…

I bought a seltzer bottle (a soda siphon, if you prefer) and now make soda water with a squeeze of lime juice instead of Coke. Love it. When I *do* indulge in a cola, I drink Pepsi Throwback, Mexican Coke, or one of the small brands of sugar cane colas. I figure that while sugar might make me fat, at least I know what's in…

I cheerfully admit that I am someone who cooks almost everything from scratch, and eats local, mostly organic, whenever possible. But I also have a mad passion for sugar. I absolutely agree with XAfricanQueen (above): It is an obnoxious modern habit to look for specks in others' eyes, while ignoring the planks in our own.…

Likewise! 120!

Congratulations!! And thank you for sharing your story, especially 'all foods in moderation'. The more everyone hears this, the more people will be willing to try to get healthy.

Well done!! That's inspiring!

Awesome and inspiring! One day at a time, keep on going!

YES! What Basschick said! Isn't that the whole point of MFP, after all? No forbidden foods, just being aware of what we eat. And there's nothing unnatural about popcorn in the Whirley Pop, with a little butter and salt. I can't say the same about the microwave kind, mind you. :-)

Congrats! And thanks for the inspiration!

Absolutely agree that demonizing fat people isn't helping. More importantly, while Disney's offerings have gotten better over the years, they could be MUCH better--they don't need to be rabbit food, but real food is good.

Guinea Pig. Tastes like chicken. :-)

I laughed because I did the same thing to myself, organic and all! In the spirit of eating good food in moderation, I suggest pumpkin chocolate-chip bread, and pumpkin ice cream. :-)

So inspiring! I'm basically where you were, and what to be where you are. Thank you for posting these!

Another vote for real butter: No hydrogenated anything, tastes terrific, and worth the calorie sacrifice. Kerrygold, Lurpak, and Plugra especially make the calories worthwhile: These are real European cultured butters (Plugra is from Pennsylvania, but it's indistinguishable from Lurpak) and they taste miles better than…

Absolutely inspiring! Thank you so much for sharing. This makes my day. :-)

Just started, so I hesitate to say, but I have been very good for an entire week, which must be a first!

...and I'm originally from Dundee! Grew up in southern England, but please don't hold it against me... :-)

Using Wii Zumba 2 and LOVE it! I didn't get along with Wii Fit, but am looking forward to getting my FitBit so I can calculate how many calories I'm burning with the Michael Jackson Experience and (my all-time favorite) Wii Sports Resort.
