I am running my first 5k on April 26th. I regularly run in public now and have had incredibly positive feedback. It's surprising how supportive strangers are when they see an "athlete" in training. Go for it.

We are starting a "healthy" food co-op exchange at work on Mondays. We will bring baggies, label general calorie information and swap for what we think looks good. I think I wlll make these as one of my exchange snacks.

I am definatley not super tall--5'9", but have always been able to wear heals, even run in them. However, the older I get, the less I wear them. I have friends with major feet problems because of their poor choices in footwear. I go for comfort and cuteness, not cuteness at the sacrifice of comfort.

Well said everyone. But, one friend wrote this recently: I lose weight in the kitchen and inches in the gym. A healthy attitude about food is that it is a necessity for your body. Stop thinking of it as a reward, but as fuel.

I rarely post on facebook and in some weird way I feel closer to my friends on MFP. This is about me. Facebook is about keeping up with people I don't really care about...oh, and playing Zombie Island. :)

I will borrow my 23 year old daughters sexiest little black dress and ask everyone to take my picture instead of trying to stick my neck out so far that I look like some kind of goose in order to eliminate one extra chin. I also might cut my hair super short and go bikini shopping (with my husband!).
