  • Hey there! I'm 5'2" exactly and I've lost about 60-ish pounds . my highest ever weight was 240, though I was around 210 in this before picture. :) I'm not done--still have about 20-30 lbs to lose. I took two years off of weight loss (we moved to Germany and I wanted to experience that without worrying as much about…
  • You literally look like a complete different human. Fantastic job!
  • You really are such a beautiful person, inside and out! Job well done!! :3 <3
  • How much younger you look! That amazes me the most. And how you really can look like a completely different person.
  • m&ms? Yum. Watermelon
  • Sure, I like people.
  • Hello! I was first diagnosed with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis at age 12. I have had it so long that I don't really know what "normal" feels like, so I don't know how it affects me, activity wise. Over the last year I have had a roller coaster ride of trying to get a diagnosis for another obviously autoimmune issue. It's most…
  • Lost 75 out of needing to lose 100. gained back 25. Now need to lose 50. Trying hard and finally feeling like I'm back on track.
  • Hello there. I am 5 feet 2 inches. I started at just about 240 pounds in Nov 2012, lost 75 pounds, had surgery and moved from US to Germany, gained back 25 pounds during that time. Now back on the wagon trying to lose about 50 more pounds. I'm currently 185ish with a goal of 135. Before About 175 lbs
  • Do you think it's possible for you to not even think about it "maintaining"? If you can get your mind around continuing to log, just with a higher number, I think that would be best for now. It seems like maybe you have a little bit of anxiety about the "stage" of maintaining. Not that other people's advice really matters…
  • Hi! I am an American who just moved to Germany. I love [American] politics, travel, introverts, and reading. :) I am back to MFP after regaining 25 of the 75 lbs I lost. :( whatever, life goes on. Trying my best, again.
  • Hello There. I won't be any help with the food diary lately. After 500 days on MFP I decided to start testing out "intuitive eating" to see if I had learned enough to not log. haha. :) Anyway, I wanted to tell you that I started with 100 pounds as my weight loss goal and I have no thyroid function. I take 300 mcg of…
  • Definitely a great attitude! Rule of Thumb with weight loss: People suck. Sometimes they're jealous, sometimes they're just buttholes. I like to pretend other people's opinions don't exist and that mine is the only one that matters. :)
  • I'm at about 19 months and 70 pounds. I strength train and have trouble keeping my thyroid levels adequate (hashi's) so I'm not a very fair comparison. No matter how long it takes, you just have to keep being persistent, consistent, and patient. :)
  • Well, I started at 236 instead of 202 but everything is the same! I'm currently 166, and my goal is 136! 5'2" and 28 years old! haha so crazy!
  • I think the most important thing is to not beat yourself up about these things. If you CAN'T fit it in, you can't fit it in. IF you're really being honest with yourself and there's just no way to make it work, try again tomorrow. Don't let it get you down, but don't lie to yourself either. Do what you can and keep pushing…
  • yeah, I did check that just yesterday. I live in a small area, though. I also am at a disadvantage because my husband is in the Air Force and our insurance is Tricare. We have to have approval for every little thing, so a lot of doctors don't take Tricare. I have decided, though, that if my doctor won't test my Free T3,…
  • When I was 11, they discovered that my thyroid was completely dead. I think that I had had it for a very long time, and I blame it for a few other medical conditions from which I suffered, including Osteochondroma, where the growth plate from my shoulder fused with my bone, so a portion of the "bone" in my arm is cartilage…
  • kcvance, can I just have your doctor, please? haha. I've had the worst experiences. I'm DETERMINED to get on armour. Listen to this crap. I asked my endocrinologist if he would test my Free T3 (I think maybe I have a conversion issue?) and he REFUSED. He said, "it doesn't tell us anything". I didn't even know what to say…
  • You guys should ask your coaches about an accountability group! They should have one you can join. :)
  • The BEST thing about X3, hands down, is that the yoga is only 30 minutes. hahaha. I HATED P90X Yoga day. So much. But I love it in X3. SOOO much better.

  • I did Phase 1 of P90X and then switched over to X3. I just finished up the first Phase of X3 and am looking forward to the second, as I hear that's where the most changes occur. I have some progress pictures on my profile if you'd like to take a peek! :)

  • Yay! Congratulations on starting toward your goals! Having MFP friends makes a WORLD of difference. I have about 40 pounds left of my goal of 100 pounds (236 to 136). As long as you promise not to judge me on the last two days (I have the flu and it hurts to swallow), please feel free to add me! :)
  • start with logging your food each day, good or bad. Do your best. :)
  • I ordered mine on release day! Very exciting stuff!!! :)
  • Oh man! It just gets better. I wouldn't have made it this far without my pals! I have a big huge place in my heart for MFP and its people!!
  • Set any goal you want and work hard to achieve it! If you fall short by 5 pounds, you're still better off, right? If you exceed it, BONUS! Setting goals is just a stepping stone to motivating yourself to properly nourish your body. Is that number practical? That depends on your body...everyone is different. For me it…
  • Hello! I would love to help offer you support on MFP! I have had an incredible journey so far and still have a ways to go. I have been overweight for my entire life as well. I'm 5'2" and started at 236 pounds. I have had hashimoto's thyroiditis since I was 11 and have a completely dead thyroid. Even though I don't have…
  • Oh my goodness! What a story. You have definitely overcome more in one lifetime than most. I hope you continue to be healthy and happy! Amazing loss. Now you know that you are capable of ANYTHING you set your mind to!
