  • Hi friends! In 2012 I joined MFP with a goal to lose weight because I was having trouble conceiving a child. I went from 265 lbs to 204 lbs in 6 months and had to stop when I (joyously) became pregnant with my son. I have slowly gained back most of that weight during the last 6 years (with a little help from son #2 and a…

  • Oooh, I have been waiting for a March thread. Congrats March mommies. I am due March 4th with my 1st. I have 2 weeks until my appointment to find out boy or girl. I can't wait to find out. My nausea eased up about the end of my 1st trimester and I had been back at the gym a couple of weeks when I got this awful head cold!…
  • My energy started to come back slowly at 13 weeks and now at 15 weeks I am back at the gym and feeling better every day. I hope you get some energy back soon. :)

  • I eat the middle out of my sushi, then replace it with pickled ginger to eat the rice and seaweed. :)
  • I have done both in the same day. Usually workout in the morning and Zumba in the evening.
  • I have been using the New Balance N4. You can get it online for about $50 bucks (I have seen it as low as $25). The manual isn't great but once you have it set up it works well. It will definitely tell you calories burned which is pretty much all I use it for.
  • I have been doing 1200 calories for about 5 months. I eat a lot of green veggies (especially spinach and mixed greens) along with lean protein. I can eat a 2 cups of mixed greens for very little calories and I feel like I have had a lot of food.
  • This was me this morning starting week 5 of C25K. I am already amazed by what I can do. :)
  • I started January 2nd and still going strong. :)
  • ^^^ This totally. Also 3. My husbands ex-wife. 4. People not vaccinating their children. 5. The debate over legalizing marijuana, we have more important things to worry about!
  • Me too. Plus I just seem to have more time on Sunday mornings than any other day.
  • I don't think I have a favorite but lately I have been buying Stella Rosa Rosso. It is sweet and a bit "sparkling" even thought it isn't carbonated (just natural during fermentation process). It seems to go well with everything.
  • I agree! I do it once or twice a week (and do cardio and strength training the other days) and it is really hard on the knees. I couldn't do it 30 days in a row and still be able to walk.
  • When I am going low carbs, high protein my best foods are salmon or eggs. You can also use lettuce cups instead of bread. I also buy low carb tortillas (multi grain tortillas are lower in carbs too).

  • I make a quick and easy Tofu Mushroom Stroganoff. Buy a Stroganoff seasoning packet (usually where the taco seasoning is in the market). Instead of using beef, saute extra firm tofu and mushroom. Then prepare as directed on packet. I use fat free sour cream and put the Stroganoff over brown rice instead of pasta. It quite…
  • I have tried level one. It is a good workout and you can definitely feel the effects. My only complaint is that there is a lot of jumping which for me is hard on my knees. If you don't have any knee (or shoulder issues), I would say to go for it.
  • Fresh mozzarella and any blue cheese

  • This bugs me too and my panties want to go with them.
  • Thanks for all the suggestions. I am planning on going to a running store to have my size and stride analyzed. Maybe once I get the stores suggestions I will post to get some feedback before I choose a specific shoe. :)
  • LOL, I hear that.
  • I use this website to get a ballpark estimate for different exercises. http://www.healthstatus.com/calculate/cbc
  • I was a vegetarian for 10 years but I started eating fish a couple years ago. Upping the protein does make me feel "fuller". If you eat eggs, I would suggest trying to incorporate them every day. I do 1 whole egg and two egg whites (to keep the fat down). Try getting more vegetarian protein for a week or two and see if you…
  • I like steamed cabbage, stir-frys with baby bok choy, oven roasted brussel sprouts and grilled fish over mixed baby greens (lettuces).
  • Zumba is great and so much fun. I do it at the gym, the community center and in my living room (Zumba for xbox kinect). I am always sweaty and tired at the end but during it I barely notice how much I am working. :)

  • Lol. My gym is a country club so it is a "hangout" for some people. They even have a bar! Luckily the loiterers seem to stay in the bar/ tv area and away from the machines.
  • I just tried this new marinade recipe for salmon and I bet it would taste really good on tilapia too. 2tbsp Balsamic vinegar 2tbsp Brown sugar 2tbsp Chili sauce (I used sriracha) 1/8 tsp Cajun seasoning 1/8tsp Ground ginger (or equivalent fresh ginger) 1 clove minced garlic Then I just pan fried mine using nonfat cooking…
  • I have Zumba and it is just okay. There is a new Zumba kinect game coming out Zumba Fitness. It is suppose to be better than the first.
