  • Sadly, I remember the ones before those......Yikes!
  • Once a week. I found that I was getting very discouraged because the scales didn't move all that much even though I had been working extremely hard. I was feeling really good and it brought me down. So, I got out the tape measure and to my surprise I had lost 6 1/2". That was the true reflection of my hard work. Don't let…
  • Yup! I feel like that more than I like to admit. I have started exercising every time I feel ****ty. It really does help. Try Yoga! It heals the mind and the body. I cannot say enough good about it. Hot Yoga has inspired me to be the very best I can be. I know it sounds corny but honestly, it is working for me. If you…
  • I'm a truck girl all the way. 2009 GMC Z71 Sierra Crew Cab. Black with the full tow pkg. Love my truck!
  • I am so a Timmies Girl! For those of you south of the Canadian border, Timmies ( Tim Hortons) is a staple here in Canada. On average there is a Timmies every few blocks in the urban area's I start my day with a trip through the drive through. FYI. Tim Horton was an NHL hockey player. He played in 24 seasons in the National…
  • Hi and welcome! I don't eat completely gluten free but I do adhere to the basic prinicpals of no white flour or rice and I stay away from sugar. My daughter is celiac so I have had lots of opportunity to learn about it. In place of flour I use either rice flour or spelt flour. I love spelt! Although it comes from the same…
  • I love sweat. A guy who is working hard and sweat is dripping off of him......yowwza! Is it getting hot in here?????? Bahahahaha
  • I too track everything I put in my mouth. It becomes painstakingly clear where you are making the mistakes in your diet. I ate a salad last week and was so proud of my choice until I logged it and found out it was 550 cals! Now I check before I eat. It really does work as it makes you accountable for your choices. Happy…
  • New research shows that it takes around 60 days to make a habit. Bad habits most certainly did not occur overnight. Stick with it. Little changes are way better than no changes. I too am a very social person and found that to be the hardest part of weight loss and control. I now turn down some invites if I know in my heart…
  • Hahaha, Love it!!!
  • I find sweat extremely sexy. A guy chopping wood or just getting a good burn on at the gym covered in sweat.....WOWZA! Yup that does it for me. My preference, a guy who has a great smile and is tall. I am 5'8" so with a pair of nice heals, I tower. My guy is 6'4 with broad shoulders and a smile that when I met him knocked…
  • You can't see that I start each and every day acknowledging the 10 best things in my life. It puts you in an instant good mood. :)
  • Ok so don't laugh.....Marry You by Bruno Mars The song and it's beat make me feel good inside and inspire me to kick it old school on the treadmill and eleptical. Maybe it's the dancing juice....hahahahaha
  • I put a slice of lemon in my water bottles in the morning. I researched some of the health benefits of lemon and there are soooo many. Some are digestion, blood pressure, complexion and the list goes on. According to what I read, it takes as little as 2 tbsp a day to reap the rewards. That is not much. I either have it…
  • You look incredible! Congrats on a job well done!
  • ;Ontario, Canada here. Snow is on the way!
  • I use either rice pasta or spelt pasta. Both are good choices but watch the cooking time especially with the rice pasta as it cooks much quicker than wheat pasta. Also, make sure you rinse it well. Bon Appetite!
  • Definitely addicted to MFP and some other stuff too ....lol
  • Absolutely beautiful! Congratulations on your journey thus far. You are an inspiration to us all!
  • Up your protein and lower your bad carbs ie ( white flour and sugar) until you gain control of your hunger pangs. Protein keeps you full longer, takes longer to digest and helps a ton with weight loss.
  • I have whatever I want to drink on Fridays and then maybe one other day, like today... I have a couple of glasses of red wine. I make sure I watch what I eat and get my exercise in. That way I don't feel guilty and I had a great day and am still under my calorie intake for the day. It is all about moderation. If you want…
  • Tired of saying...... "Hello, Hello... I'm up here, you are talking to my chest" LoL It's funny, sort of. Signed Well endowed by genetics.
  • I do a cheat day every week. I usually eat good through the day and then my dinner and evening are mine. I have a few drinks and dinner with friends. As long as you are committed enough that one day doesn't turn into the next ( I have done this and sabotaged my entire plan) then you are good. Also, I used to do an entire…
  • You look fantastic! Keep up the good work!
  • Below is a quote I found awhile ago. I have it on my fb wall, I have it as a picture on this site and I have it posted all over my home. It is my motivation........ :) “The only thing standing between you and your goal is the bull**** story you keep telling yourself as to why you can’t achieve it.”
  • If you put negative out to the universe....then negative will find it's way back to you. Focus on what is positive in your life and positive will come back to you. It's the law of attraction. I start each and every day acknowledging the 10 things in my life that I am most grateful for. You absolutely cannot be in a bad…
  • Oatmeal pancakes are also a great snack. 1c oatmeal egg whites to desired texture 1 banana (beat well) and cinnamon to taste. Awesome snack. You can eat them plain or with something. I like them just the way they are.
  • Try spelt cakes and organic peanut butter. It is one of my favourite snacks. Spelt cakes have a much nicer taste than rice cakes. You can buy them at most bulk/heath food stores such as Bulk Barn. :)
  • Hi! I am new here as well. I am approaching 50 very quickly and have about 40 lbs to lose. I have just started the Body by Vi 90 day challenge. My eating habits weren't my biggest problem. My problem is beer. I live a very social life and my beer consumption and sedentary lifestyle (which happened due to an injury) have…
