I'm almost 40. Add me. :)

From one breastfeeding mama to another- first, great job! Second, I would really be careful about cutting out carbs. What you eat affects your ability to provide nutrition to your baby. You may want to give this a quick review: http://kellymom.com/nutrition/mothers-diet/mom-lowcarb/ Best of luck to you!

Does it affect your attitude as well? Sorry for the snark, but jeez. There are people trying to help you with a vague set of issues and you're not being very receptive to their info. If you need an expert to tell you what to do, then you need to be patient and see an expert.

If I crave sweets, I eat sweets. I used to keep a bag of dark chocolates around and limit myself to one before bed.

I was an overweight child and teen, lost weight by using adderall in my early 20s, then gained it all back. :) I'm now nearly 40 and finally a normal weight. Add me! I'm on daily and my diary is wide open. :)

THIS! I throw in chickpeas, black beans, onion, and green pepper and throw that on a tortilla or salad when I get home from work. We have that once a week! Depending on how long you have, OP, you could probably throw the same stuff in a dutch oven and cook it for a couple hours.

Feel free to add me!

...and booze.

Good luck!!!

Yup. I weigh nearly everything for every meal and have for almost a year. I have 2 little kids and a full-time job. If it were time consuming, I would NOT do it. :D
-
My BMI is normal now, but I'm still skinny-fat. I don't need to be measured accurately to be able to see that there is too much fat around my midsection. That's what this year is for... recomping!

I lost 40 lbs while breastfeeding without any impact to my supply... that said, I took it VERY slow and started when he was 9 months old. It took about 8 months. Baby comes first, then body. :)

Mine never firmed up. *shrug*

Sounds good! Do you do tofu? I love a tofu scramble in a wrap. (Not vegan, but I love tofu!)

I work full time, have two small kids, and have a house to keep up. I work out 4-5x a week. You can do it! You just have to make it a priority. I now find it "easy" to get up before the kids and squeeze in a run. ("Easy" because it's all relative. I'd still rather lounge in bed most mornings. :D) I will get up and stretch,…

Welcome back!

Just throwing this out there - don't let it stop you from working out if you don't have the right gear. I had limited time so I threw in a workout video and did it in my jeans and tshirt. That said, to answer your question, Old Navy has awesome workout gear in all sizes!

Hmm... I am not that picky so I'll eat anything even if it's not awesome (which is probably why I struggle with my weight)... But Quest bars were not worth the hefty price tag. I don't get why they have such a huge following. :/

I used c25k and now I'm using c210k. And totally agree with @GBrady43068 - log, log, log. Everyone is like, how did you lose 40 lbs? Did you cut carbs? Did you go gluten-free? Nope. I just squeeze all my carbs and gluten (aka beer) into my budget (on most days ;) ).
-
You can TOTALLY lose 25 in a year. In fact, you'll likely lose it quicker if you log religiously and stick to your plan. Add me!
-
I generally trust it, but verify if something seems off. Besides, as good as you can be with measurements, nothing is 100% accurate.
-
Congrats to everyone here on their successes and how far they've come in a year!

This is gonna sound weird, but I do fake spaghetti. Tastes nothing like spaghetti but I love it in a pinch. I do a bag of frozen broccoli florets and top with either lean ground beef and tomato sauce mix, or gardein veggie chicken (could use real) and a bit of mozz cheese and veggie tomato sauce. Takes no time, is filling,…

YEAH! Nice job!!!!!!!!

Well, OK, Mr. Grumpypants! ;) Sometimes your real life friends can't relate to your weight loss or fitness journey. Here, at least, you know others are likely in the same boat. If you don't want friends, then don't accept/invite. If you do, you might open yourself up to meeting some really cool people.

Sadly, the internet is not a no-snark zone. That said, if you open up your diary, we could give you a bit more advice. I'm sorry that you've gained weight. Maybe we can help you find a solution?
-
If you open up your diary, we could provide you with a little feedback on why you're not seeing any results. It could be time (it's only 8 days!) or it could be that you're not being as accurate as you need to be.
-
Congrats, and also - BEST GLASSES EVER!

I am still nursing my 16 month old and don't count the calories from breastfeeding since he doesn't nurse all that frequently, but instead just would keep my calories around 1500-1700 and have lost very slowly. My supply never suffered from that range. Good luck!

Check my diary. I'm down nearly 40 lbs and I eat a ton of sugar <3 I just fill in the rest with other stuff. There's no need to totally give them up! Best of luck!
