I will mostly be posting my progress through my work blog. I'm hosting a Whole30 challenge with a couple health bloggers. We currently have our initial post up, and new updates go out on Mondays throughout the month. Feel free to check it out!…

Hi all! I am actually between January and February for Whole30. Today is Day 15 for me, so almost through the half point! I can say that so far I have seen positive improvements in my sleep, skin, energy and digestion. We'll see how everything checks out on Day 31, but I'm already inspired to move into a mostly-Paleo…

There are a lot of great reviews for this product here: https://www.swansonvitamins.com/almased-synergy-diet-17-6-oz-pwdr They also sell it for $19.96. Not sure what everyone is paying, but I thought I'd throw that out there. This powder is great for kicking off a healthy lifestyle. A lot of people get sick from just…

I think if someone feels comfortable with their body and what they're wearing, more power to them. I don't like the words normal/average, but rather the words happy/healthy. These women feeling comfortable and happy is more important to me than them looking a specific way to the general population. Personally, I dress for…

I watched about half of seasons 1-6 on the treadmill. I use my parents treadmill and they have Netflix set up on a bigger television. It's strangely motivating, especially when they're running! I hope everyone is excited for tonight/tomorrow/whenever they get to watch it! :)

WHOVIANS!!! I am currently midway through Season 4 of the newer stuff. It's my entertainment while on the treadmill at my dad's house. Nothing like crying my bloody eyes out while hitting up level 10 incline. Final episode of Season 2. I just can't.

Flaxseed offers a good source of protein and fiber into your diet. It also contains omega-3 and omega-6 essentail fatty acids (EFAs) which are good for heart health, immune health and overall health. The type of omega-3 in flaxseed (ALA - alpha-linolenic acid) is something that your body needs but cannot produce on its…

I feel like in order to take a job it needs to have one of two qualities: be a job you like, or be a job that pays well. You mention the economy, and I agree that it's hard to turn anything away, but if the job doesn't speak to you and it's not that great of pay, I would personally not take it. I would also be scared to do…

I'm just a couple lbs above you according to my last weigh-in, but I'm also 5'5'' and have the same calorie suggestion. Most days I don't reach that many calories, and of course working out brings that down more. The key is to not make your body hungry. Different height/weight will give you different goals. Some people…

I think he likes working out... :)

YAY YOU!!! That's amazing. You've been a great inspiration to me since I started on MFP, and I'm sure you inspire many others as well. Keep up the great work!

Hello Brittany (and everyone else)! I just got started on MFP a couple weeks ago. I attempted it once before and slipped on my journey rather quickly, but I'm back and ready to go this time more than ever. I'm 25 years old and am looking to lose around 150 lbs. I'd like to think I'm good at holding myself and others…

Thank you for the suggestions! I can make a great list from all of this. I'll also check out lists on Spotify. :)

I'm in! While I'm looking to lose 100+ lbs, I'll set a goal of 20 lbs by Christmas. Every chunk helps, right? Good luck to everyone!

Hey girl hey! Strange to think there would be people on a site who are trying to be healthy who would bash people for doing the same. It shouldn't matter if you're at my level wanting to lose 100+ lbs, or if you're the person who is already pretty healthy and fit but just wants the six-pack. We all have our health in mind,…

Thank you for the comment! It is definitely about making life changing decisions. Looks like you're off to a great start as well - congratulations! It looks like we both have a long way to go before meeting our goals, but with the effort and support we can do this. :)
-
Thank you! I've heard it's hard to get back to a healthy lifestyle and fitness after having a baby, so I applaud you for making the effort and doing what you need to do! My friend just joined MFP as well and she had her first baby in September. It's great to have support on here, so thank you for that.

I'm so inspired by those who have come so far in their journey, so thank you for your kind words. I like how you look at this journey (10 x 10). I didn't exercise at all the first week, but now I've hit the treadmill four times and will plan on doing that at least 2-3 times each week as well as other fitness thrown in…

Thank you, Kimberlee! And wow, you're doing great! This is definitely the type of motivation I need. Sounds like we're in the same boat with amount of weight to lose. I'm proud of myself for what I've done so far, and you should be proud as well for as far as you've gotten! Congratulations! :)
-
Thank you! It will soon become your triumph as well! We've got this. :)

I know what you're saying about the time. I need to stop worrying so much about how long something is taking me and instead focus on what I'm achieving. And stress fracture - yikes! I'll have to be careful and not overdo something that I'm not yet ready for. At the moment I'm just "walking briskly," but I hope to get to…

We're not the best match for each other from your original post, but all the same I wanted to wish you the best of luck on your journey! Here's to health!
-
Thank you! I will definitely add you. It's great to have support, and I'm good about giving the support right back if you ever need it! And kudos right back at you! Twenty weeks is a great accomplishment!
-
I'm from Fargo, North Dakota. Nice to see everyone on here! :)
-
@BehindBlueEye I have to first give you kudos for the 6lbs! Losing weight gets harder the more you go along, so that's definitely a great accomplishment! I also give you credit for outdoor running. For me at the moment it's getting to the point in the year where it's too cold to be outside. I'm in North Dakota where it's…

Thank you!

Hi all, I'm looking to lose 100lbs this year as well. I've been off-and-on with living a healthier lifestyle since before my teen years. I've never tried the route of a website aid until now, and I'm already feeling positive about it. We all know what we need to do. Let's make it happen. :)
