You've got to deal with it at the source, your stress. Putting a band-aid on it won't help.

I'm not registered or anything, just doing it for fun.

Eat more.

Exactly. Also, people hate to see people succeed in most cases, so by congratulating you they may just be acknowledging that they're overweight and really don't want to do anything about it.

Bodyrock is really good. If you just joined a gym they should give you an introduction. You could ask any of their trainers :)

Whichever one you want. You have to find the workout that you WANT to do.

Back when I was doing karate 7 days a week, I found making a play list to be really helpful. There are only so many things you can do on a bag, so you often repeat the same 3-4 things but you vary the intensity and combinations. Go through some music and pick out songs that get you in the mood, and do a couple of combos…

It does get results, but in reality abs are made in the kitchen ;)

Thank him for his support and kick him in the junk :p

Being a Trainer and Nutritionist here are the problems I have with it. The calorie amount in a serving isn't close to what a full meal should be. You lose weight by not consuming enough calories. You can do that with just about anything. Problem is, it tapers off and eventually you stop losing. It's got two sources of…

If your Dr. is pushing something like that, find a new Doctor. There's not a damn thing healthy about it.

Carbs = Energy. Without them your body literally begins to eat your muscles (ie protein, the second source of energy your burn). It's a quick weight loss fad and not terribly healthy for the long run.

Pretty much as low as you can go for liqueur is a shot, and that's just over 90 cal. Start adding in mixes and it goes up. When thinking about drinking I try and go for the biggest bang for my buck. Dark beer is usually low in calories (Guinness is around 140) and also has a lot of beneficial ingredients. Avoid fruity…

I dropped most of my initial weight running. Went from 235 to about 215 on a treadmill. Find one with a shock absorber (most gym ones have them now) and listen to your body.

I do what I can lol

I've done it off and on. I'm a Coach so I try to do a little of each workout so I actually know what I'm selling, lol. I did have a chance to workout with Leandro in LA last year. If you think BBL is tough try working with him in person. That guy is a machine!!! Keep up the routine and follow it to the letter and I know…

The whole whey protein thing after a workout is a myth. Check out research by the ISSA and ACE. It's recommended that you drink a ration of 2 carbs to 1 protein after a workout. Since you use carbs as your first source of energy, your muscles absorb them like a sponge. Tack on the 1 protein to get carried into the muscles…

I just completed the Soul Mate Workout portion of the book PUSH. It said I prefer to workout alone, so yeah lol. I find running is my best friend. It's alone, outdoors, I can blast music, and it makes me feel young :)

Absolutely rest. When you workout you're putting a lot of stress and strain on your body. It needs to rebuild. Someone above mentioned Active Rest. That's a great option. Just go for a walk or something on the weekends. If you have dogs, that's perfect ;)

I find it hard to believe in a guy that advertises gastric bypass on his website.

The thing that killed it for me was the messaging system. I connect so much better on Facebook where I can be notified when someone replies to me, or more importantly to a post I make on their wall. Here, when I try and send someone encouragement I don't see when they reply. Honestly, It's also so hard to actually look up…

I LOVE my kitchen Ninja. I had my first for two years. It still works great, but I wanted to upgrade to the new one with three blades. Recommend it 100%

You have about an hour of opportunity post-workout to really maximize your nutrition. This is the time when you want to reload all of the carbs you used during your workout, and add some protein if you're muscle building. A good ratio (agreed on by several organizations like the ISSA, ACE, and Beachbody) is 2 carbs for…

It's better to have a small snack than to be hungry. The best thing to do if you need something before bed is to mix up a small protein shake. You metabolize that very quickly rather than something heavy that your body won't be able to burn while you rest.

Don't go low carbs. We manly men need our energy and that comes from carbs. As for low fat, any lean meat will work. Veggies, sweet potatoes, etc.

This is going to be all about nutrition. Everyone has abs, they're just layered in fat. You can't target-burn body fat so you need to reduce your overall body fat percentage to get rid of that area. Ask anyone with a 6-pack what they're diet is like and they'll tell you a lot of water, and a lot of veggies.

Elliptical helps build strength in the legs so that's the major advantage of it. It's like running and stair climbing in one. However, the treadmill will probably give you a higher total burn. Me, I say just go outside. That will give you the best result because you have the changes in the terrain forcing you to use more…

I don't. I use my bodybugg to track my calories. When I was tracking my workouts on here I didn't see very good results, so I just workout and use this site as a ballpark.

How did you come up with 80%? I'm pretty sure that's not possible.

Sounds like a gimmick. Just eat clean and exercise. That's really all you need.
