I was going to switch for the lower carbs, right up until I discovered it's 3.5 times the price of regular milk here in western australia. I just can't afford it.

I haven't been asked for ID since I was about 13. But people are starting to tell me I look younger now that I'm losing weight.

1. What did you have for breakfast? Rocky road flavour protein shake with skim milk 2. How much water do you drink per day? 4-5 litres. (135-170oz) 3. What are your favorite snacks? Just joined up at a new gym, opening on Monday. Hoping it won't be too crowded for a while at least, so I should be able to avoid all these things! (almost a gym on every corner around here now) The overpowering perfume/cologne is the big one for me. I'm hypersensitive to that sort of thing. I'd rather smell apocalyptic…

Way to go Cowboys! That would make us 6-0 against the Giants in season openers.

Have you tried a few different brands? I find that there can be half a size difference (sometimes more) between different clothing brands when the labels say they should be the same size.

A girl There are a few reasons, but that's the one that finally got me on track.

Height - I love tall girls. Especially over 6ft. Doesn't bother me if they're taller than my 6'2" Then hair and eyes.

one of my favourites: I'm getting close to the end of my chemistry and physics degrees now, and I'm still working in the local supermarket. I've come to the conclusion that the average person doesn't know what correlation and causality mean, No point asking if they know the difference between them. Plenty of these studies…

I work in a supermarket. I spend all day lifting and carrying stuff. Very active. If I feel like doing more resistance work I'll lift multiple crates at once. With the weight of our stock, I can do up to about 50kg (110pound) deadlifts and rows in the course of my job. The other option I use is 1 crate at a time, as…

I have breakfast within about 10min of getting up. It works for me. Try a few options and see what works for you. I don't think there's any real rules on this one.

Love tall girls, even if they're taller than me (fairly rare, given I'm 6'3"), but I don't find high heals particularly attractive on any girl.

Much to many of my friend's disappointment, there is no secret as such. For me the key was doing a huge amount of research for myself and putting together my own plan, rather than using someone else's plan.

Like Sinatra said, some people get their kicks stomping on a dream. That's life.

Cons? There are only 2 peoples in known history that existed on what we call the paleo diet. The traditional Australian Aborigines are one, and unfortunately the other escapes my memory right now, but I think it was an obscure tribe in Africa. Neither have a physique I would particularly want to imitate. (note: there are…

I'm into D3 myself at the moment. Probably head back to WoW at some stage in the future. Being a fellow gamer, you might be interested in this site for tracking exercise too: http://www.fitocracy.com/home/ log your exercises, get 'exp' for them and level up! It's what first got me going on this journey.

Wow, where to start. Cold Chisel, AC/DC, The Band (yes, that's their name), The Black Crowes, Dire Straits, Dishwalla, Goo Goo Dolls, Nickelback, Matchbox 20, Sonia Dada, The Waifs. I like a fairly wide variety of musc, but those ones are almost always in my playlist. I haven't actually seen any of them live except for Ian…

A few women at work are getting a bit like that. I haven't actively told anyone, but it shows when I'm 90 pounds down from 6 months ago. They constantly ask me how I'm doing it, and I give them the same answer every time: I stopped eating crap, I keep track of what I eat, and I exercise more. I get the impression they…

Trainer qualifications seem to come in cornflakes packets these days. I had a couple of sessions at a big name (in Australia) gym with one of their trainers. This was some years ago now, before I got serious and did all the research myself. I was quite shocked at the time to discover that even back then, I actually knew…

Mango. It's not that I particularly don't like it, I just don't see what the hype is about. Anything from the ocean. Allergic to some of it, just plain don't like the rest.

Real name is Rob. I picked up the nickname 'Bear' in highschool due to size and strength, and the guys in my baseball team used to call me Nano because I was studying nanotechnology at the time. Some years ago now when I needed a name for online gaming, I put the 2 together. I've been NanoBear ever since.

Depends on your situation. I started off needing to lose 50kg (110 pounds). I did what you're describing to start with and dropped about 25kg that way. After that I found I needed a more precise record to keep it going. I should add that I can maintain my current weight using that method. I do for a week every so often to…

It definitely gets better! 6 months ago I couldn't do 1 real pushup, and I could only do maybe 5 on my knees. I'm still no pushup master, but last night I did 4 sets of 8 at taekwondo training. Absolutely unthinkable last year!

Started November 28th 2011 at 145 kg (319pounds) Now I'm at 104.9 kg (231 pounds), so 88 pounds lost in 5 months and 3 weeks. So far. Looking to get to to about 210 pounds at the moment, and I'll reassess from there. For the first couple of months, I was losing upwards of 5 pounds a week. Drastic, but not overly alarming…

Hi all, I'm 26, from Perth, WA. Started at 145 kg last December, currently at 106 kg, working towards my first goal of 95 kg. I'll reassess where I am from there. Looking to start playing baseball again later this year, and rugby next year, after having to give up both because of weight-related joint injuries. I was obese…

It's being banned because one of its components is basically speed. Make up your own mind as to whether that makes it good or not.

I work at my local Woolies. I noticed a couple of customers with slim pasta yesterday, hadn't seen it before. I'll have to try that one soon The main staples for me: chicken breast lean steak frozen veggies (microwave steam packs) eggs almonds and walnuts low fat yoghurt (not the plain/natural one. I can't stand the…

Fingers crossed the doctor gives you the green light. Not a bad idea to get the occasional checkup anyway to keep an eye on things like blood pressure if you're making big changes.

I generally drink 5, sometimes 6 liters of water a day. I was thinking diabetes to start with too, but my doctor said its nothing to worry about. (Being a 240 pound male, I'm going to be drinking more than you anyway) A couple of things to remember: if you have upped your protein intake (as a lot of people do when they get…
