Thank you friend! He gave me some money as soon as he moved in! He also loves to cook and does cook when he's off from work. But his appetite is ridiculous and he will honestly eat any and everything in his path! He'll replace it, but then you don't have it when you want it! I'm sure I can work out some arrangement with…

Great tips...Alton Brown is awesome!

I love lunges and squate! Push ups are my enemies, with Zumba a close second!

Thanks friend for sharing your story with me. I'm so sorry to hear about your Mom, and what you went through. I think I'm going to be on the hunt for a new favorite snack!

I have made some steps to avoid a flare up and not give up my beloved popcorn. I'm now eating Tiny But Mighty Popcorn from Whole Foods. The hulls disintegrate when you pop the corn. Pretty tasty, but a little pricey!

Great advice, thanks!

Thanks for the advice...I don't want to be one of those people who learn the hard way! I also researched this issue, this is what mayo clinic had to say: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/diverticulitis-diet/AN01255. It's certainly something to give serious thought to.

I was a 36DD before I lost the weight and am still a 36DD  I was hoping to go down a size!

I"m of the school of thought that knowledge is power! Knowing what I put in my mouth gives me power and control over my body and I love it! Is it trading one obsession for another, possibly....but it's not a bad obsession to have! I think you need to stop sweating the scale and start listening to your body. Do you have…

I started my journey last year at 51 years old. I had been really inactive and exercising was a challenge in the beginning, but it can be done. Try Leslie Sansone at home DVD's, I lost my first 40-50 lbs just doing her workouts. There are still some exercises I can't do ( push ups), but I'm no longer afraid to try…

I log ahead almost everyday. It really helps me stay on track and avoid impulse eating. I even log my snacks ahead of time :blushing:

My hubby is on MFP as well! But he doesn't exactly share my obsession, here's how we differ: He want no friends - not even me I love my friends, everyone of them! He logs on sporadically I've not missed a day in a year He only likes to use the diary, although he does read my blogs:smooched:
-
It's wonderful that you are trying to break that cycle, my experience has been very similar to yours. Good luck to you...MFP is a great way to get started!

I've tried their salad dressing...yuck!

Way to go...you should feel proud! Especially doing Jillian at 48 :drinker: I think you're right about Jillian's workouts. I'm 161 lbs and I look smaller now then I did in my 20's when I weighed a lot less! So good for you, you're an inspiration!

This happens to me to! When I tell them eating healthier and exercise their eyes glaze over and they walk away
