i completely agree that the timing of the sweets is what's most important. If i can eat sweets for breakfast only and not have them for the rest of the day, i notice an increase in weight loss for sure. The key is to avoid them later in the day.

I started off around 244 lbs and my suggested calorie intake was 1600. So, to me 1500-1600 sounds about right. I was able to lose weight eating 1600 calories a day, so I wouldn't worry if I were you. :)

I weigh myself first thing in the morning with no clothes on after using the restroom. Only exception is during "that time". I don't weigh at all during that week. :)
