You've got this!! We're all rooting for you.

1. Up weight class to twice a week. 2. Add yoga at least once a week, maybe twice. 3. Walking three days a week minimum. 4. See how it impacts my weight (trying to maintain) and adjust accordingly. 5. Water water water water water. 6. Be vigilant about my protein goals (the summer heat makes me want to cut down).
-
Could it be related to your workout routine? I know whenever I have a really strong workout, the only thing that will help me feel full is heavy protein foods like chicken or beef. My go-to post-heavy workout meal has become chicken with sauteed broccoli slaw or zoodles just to get rid of that hunger post-workout.

I agree with the smaller plates. I've been using my son's old toddler plates and it keeps me from wasting food that won't be eaten. Here is what turned into a huge list of other things:* Explore recipes. Don't bore yourself into bad cravings by being afraid to try new things, especially since your taste buds can and do…

Thanks, y'all. I'm scheduling a meeting with a nutritionist to see what's next. I need some help formulating a plan to balance exercise, which I don't want to cut out, obviously, and not really being able to up my food intake. I'm hoping that the nutritionist will have some suggestions as well as some of my gym instructors…

Hit my goal!! Woohoo! That's one thing off the list. Now I have to educate myself and form a plan for maintenance.
-
The only other thing I would offer from what's here above is that if they offer classes, try them out! I'm not much of a machine person. Nothing bores me quicker than doing reps on one. I get the majority of my workout from the classes that are offered (aerobic kickboxing, fitcamp, weight lifting, Zumba, etc.) because it…

You're in the most common stall period (almost everyone hits one 3-4 weeks post-op). Your body is likely still trying to shed the fluids you were given during surgery, and you are still recovering. The scale will start moving again. In the meantime, grab a tape measure. It's very likely that even while your weight is…

Three weeks post-op is still during a period of heavy recovery. I was walking at that point, but it winded me to even walk down to the end of my street corner. Granted, I had sleeve surgery and not bypass, but it's probably safe to say you should definitely not be pushing a vacuum. I was told that even having my…

I was training for 10K but slacked off when I started experiencing hip issues. I've tried running here and there since then but the hip thing keeps coming back when I try. I'm afraid I may just be a walker from here on out. The running is awesome for weight loss, but I'm pretty much at my goal now anyway and I don't want…

You look gorgeous!

* Continue with my heavier weight bars until I'm comfortable with them. * Get rid of these last 1-2 pounds and plan maintenance. * Continue to tone my core and hips (which need the most work). * Water water water water water. Been slacking there lately. * Try out some new recipes with the summer veggies available from…

You can do this! Maybe set your goals to be more in line with where you are now. For instance, maybe something like plan to drink X amount of water a day or try to set aside at least one day a week to do something you love. Anything you set will get you closer to where you want to be, so don't limit your options to just…

Thanks for the input, everyone!

Thanks for the feedback on the Surge. Definitely gunning for the Blaze now.
-
Does anyone know how it compares to a Surge? It looks like the only difference is the GPS feature but I'm wondering if I should save up the extra hundred and go ahead and spring for the Surge or just go ahead with the Blaze once I have enough saved (I'm planning on buying mine with workplace health points).

It depends on what it is. Usually, if it's a "special occasion" item (like birthday cake, a special meal dessert or someone brings donuts into the office), rather than rage-stare at it all day, I'll allow myself a small sliver of whatever it is so that I get a taste but don't go overboard. With these items, the key for me…

Someone from work brought in some old clothes yesterday and asked if would I like them. Sure, I said. She gave me a bagful that I tried on last night. One of the items was a pair of size 6 pants. I tried them on and they fit comfortably. SIZE 6 PANTS? WHAT SORCERY IS THIS????

I ended up just doing the one above. So after day one, I'm down a pound and a half. However, I'm also currently experiencing that lovely visitor we ladies receive once a month, so it's hard to gauge anything right now because my weight tends to fluctuate so much during that time. Stay tuned...

Welcome! Feel free to add me. I was sleeved 2/17/15.

Awesome progress! Keep chugging along.
-
AWESOME! Congratulations! Now, on to the next 40 lbs. down!
-
Thanks, y'all! I'll definitely do this. I like yoga anyway so it's a no-brainer - it's just forcing time on my schedule to make it happen.

Weekly check-in! 1. Make it all the way through biceps in my Muscle Max class without stopping on the new weight bar I'm using (the other areas are going great!). I'm making it through, barely, but man, are my arms really starting to show the improvement. This was a good step and I just need to keep working to make it…

That looks so good but my sleeve doesn't like salmon anymore. It's frustrating because I used to love it but I can't eat it now. I never would have thought to mix in white beans. That really does look good.

Welcome! Feel free to add me - I was sleeved on 2/17/15.

It may be that your body is signaling you for more water. I find that now that I'm starting to get that hunger feeling back, often, if I just drink some water, tea or decaf coffee, my "hunger" craving is satisfied and goes away. The brain is weird the way it sends signals.

I feel the same way you do. I don't respond well to bullying, especially since I've seen and had trainers who can encouraging you to results without having to resort to screaming at someone.

@kristinj98, you look terrific!
