Because it takes forever. I've tried to do a few and always get frustrated and cancel out before I'm done. If you have the time and know how it's nice, but I don't expect people to do it. I am thankful for the ones who do though!

I cup of Quaker brand old fashioned oats (you really don't need to use quick) per the Quaker website nutrition data is 300 calories.

Get a blender and make fruit smoothies. Search the web for good recipes. Skinnytaste.com is amazing. I also agree with the poster who recommended microwaving your veggies. Don't limit yourself to the packages that read "microwaveable" as you can microwave any vegetable, fresh or frozen. Just be sure to have a food cover…

Speaking from my own experience, no. I had gained back 5 lbs and am now back on track logging (meaning being more careful of what I eat) and exercising. My daughter was able to lose weight on College Cafeteria Food. She even found an internet link that listed all of the foods nutrition info. I know it wasn't easy for her,…

I totally agree with this! My 5'1" 105# daughter can eat more than me when she is actively involved in school sports. In the off-season her caloric needs decrease, as does her appetite. She's never been overweight so her body's metabolism is likely not off-wack the way mine is. BTW - I lost 30# increasing my meal plan from…

Starving yourself cannot make sense, no one wants to maintain a starvation diet.

You have proved your point exceedingly well! I didn't eat the best today and was thinking I was going to have to skip dinner. Nope! I am on day 7 of the 30 day shred and when I finish that I am going to find a weight program. Thank you for sharing!:flowerforyou:

Hi, I'm 49 and over half-way to my goal of losing 40 pounds. You can Friend me.

WOW! You. Look. Fantastic!

I love this! When I'm hungry, I eat. When I'm not, I don't. I modified my calorie intake because I was always going over, but still losing weight. That is amazing that you've lost 63# in the same amount of time I've lost 25. Great job!

Oh snap! I don't know what I was thinking! My favorite diet food.... baked sweet potato, fresh out of the oven (I put them in without poking or wrapping in foil @ 375 for 45-50 minutes). 2nd... Nostimo Greek Non-fat Peach Yogurt (yum!) Nutritional value of the sweet potato (including fat burning properties) can be found…

Hi Sass! I have been using MFP sporadically for the last 5 months but I have not really used the community support. My daughter has been using it and has gotten a lot out of it so I thought I would too. I know what you mean about calorie anxiety. I encourage you to try to keep your goal, especially while you are new and…

One of my favorite carb options is the sweet potato. I only started eating them AT ALL 6 months ago. Bake them naked in a 375 degree oven (don't poke holes in them & be sure to line the bottom of your oven with foil) for approximately 40-50 minutes. They come out moist & tender and the natural sugar in them caramelizes in…
