  • the only exercise i do consistently is walking, on a good week i do approx 3 hours of walking, 5 days a week, this is unavoidable as it's the school run lol, but it is what i credit my weight loss too, although i have done other things over the years, but not consistently enough to have had any real lasting impact on me
  • started out morbidly obese should take till summer to shift the last pounds, but scared it's going to be the 12th of never before i'm done
  • what everybody else has just said, plus if you lose it fast, your going to be left with some seriously saggy skin, if you lose it at a slower rate (ie not biggest loser style), you've got more chance of it shrinking with you good luck
  • i'm b12 deficient, so have to have the injections, my body doesn't naturally absorb it so i have no choice, i feel great after having them, but the effect soon starts to wear off and i feel like crap till my next one
  • i've had mine 21 years and probably regretted it for 20 years, i didn't think about it before going ahead and doing it, i didn't research the tattoo artist, and basically went for a cheap design (i was only 17 with very little money) at the time i tried rationalizing by saying it was a symbol of freedom from secondary…
  • i'm sure you've heard the whole "your body is not ruined, your a tigress who earned her stripes" saying i've had 4 kids, and through a combination of being overweight and having kids, my stomach is like a 3d road map, i had a very weird dream a few nights ago, where i went to a tattoo parlor and had all my stretch marks…
  • 7 47 am uk been up since 5 30 am and attempting to get kids ready for school
  • no still see my old fat self, and this is my 3rd year of dieting so had plenty of time to get used to it, i also (whilst shopping) still pick clothes up in my size, look at them, think no way is that ever gonna fit, grab a larger size, try them on and have to go back and swap them, i am also constantly asking my family if…
  • thing is i'm average sized now for the uk but still feel like i'm getting the look if we eat out, so makes me very paranoid  my worst one was after i had my youngest daughter, i kept getting asked who's baby it was, when i told them it was mine people thought i was joking, and kept blurting out things like "but you…
  • i did 12lbs in 10 days, i don't know if any of you have heard of the terryann 123 diet plan that is all over facebook, basically 3 meals plus 3 snacks per day, no carbs, just meat of various sorts, your supposed to never be hungry as you can eat as much as you want of the allowed foods, plus you had to drink 1.5 liters of…
  • i used to think like that, it took a while for me to wrap my head around it, but i got there in the end, you just need to accept it
  • i'd aim more for between 2lbs and 8lbs max, any higher and your setting yourself up for disappointment, you may lose more than that at the start, but after the first few weeks it will slow down good luck x
  • 100% English, but one of my husbands relatives has recently been doing a family tree, and has apparently traced his family back to king edward iv, from what i've read (of course presuming that his ancestry tracing is accurate i've not actually seen it) that edward iv was pretty fond of sleeping around, and if it is true it…
  • i stopped tracking sugar for this reason, if you was going over because you are eating chocolate etc then yeah you could be stuffing up your weight loss (note i said could be), also going over on protein i don't see as a problem, just try and stay under your carbs, and watch your sodium, and eat all your calories
  • i usually have to make separate meals for him anyway as he is vegetarian, while the rest of us aren't, this is his choice, he was vegetarian before we met so i don't expect him to change his eating habits for me, on the days when i am making something that we all can eat, i just fit it into my calories, i haven't really…
  • thanks it's interesting, gave me 868 cals, and that was without factoring in my faster pace for some of it, or pushing the pushchair, definitely a lot more than what i was expecting
  • according to mfp, i burned 1222 calories today, doing 138 mins of walking, i don't own a heart rate monitor so no idea how far off it really is, it was done over 3 sessions (3 school runs) i walked uphill pushing a heavy pushchair (daughter weighs approx 35lbs) with my son dragging it back half of the way, i walked at…
  • i lost about 6olbs in the time frame your giving, i wasn't very good at working out, mainly just walking for first 3 months, then i started jog/walking 2-3 times a week for 40ish minutes, for the remainder of that time if i had worked out more or used different exercises it could have been do-able good luck x
  • this is totally me, i actually fell off the site for a long time due to frustration with the scales, thank god i didn't do too much damage btw since coming back to the site and starting reluctantly (terrible grammar most of the time and scared of the grammar police) using the forums, every time i see a post from you it…
  • ^this it's ALL about the calories, although unlike the person i'm quoting i'm not lucky enough to have lost enough to be maintaining, yet, but 84lbs down eating basically whatever fits my calories for the day
  • i can relate to the family stress, i live in a high stress household and sometimes you just cant escape it, mines caused because my oldest son has mental/behavioral problems, so no sorting it out or walking away from it for me  , i do escape it sometimes by going for a walk but only when it get's to breaking point i…
  • me and my other half had a favorite chinese restaurant we used to go to, lovely 4 course meal, plus prawn crackers that i ate to myself as he is vegetarian, we don't visit it anymore, but not because i'm on a diet, because we discovered a lovely italian restaurant, when we visit i don't restrict what i eat,and order…
  • i just want to finish the month weighing less than i do now, i will settle for that
  • oh forgot to add to my original post, cinnamon is supposed to stop you craving sweet things, try adding it to coffee, or sprinkling it on toast or yogurt, personally i can't vouch that it works because i can't stand the stuff
  • the trouble with chocolate is that it calls you lol (well mine does anyway),in an ideal world chocolate wouldn't have any calories but unfortunately it's loaded, that said i have lost all my weight still eating a bar most days, i can't give it up either
  • i love logging my exercise on mfp, love watching the minutes clock up over the week, but i take absolutely no notice of the calories it says i have burned, i have set my own calorie goal (using scoobys workshop) and rarely eat any of the extra calories i've "earned" it works for me, won't work for everybody
  • i was nearly 300lbs at one point, i also did the super low cal diet, and you no what i did lose weight, along with about half my hair! it also played havoc with my nails (extremely weak) and eventually i was that that fed up that i ended up binging listen to what other people are saying 1200 is the minimum you should be…
