  • I LOVE Ezekiel Bread. You can find it in the freezer section and its so wholesome and delicious. I usually spread some Laughing cow cheese on mine after toasting, but since you are not so keen on the dairy you may want to try a nut butter or some delicious jam. I recently found a fig and garlic jam that is LOVELY.
  • I am late, but I wanna do this too!
  • Last night I put a boneless, skinnless chicken breast in a strip of foil with asparagus, potato slices, parsnip, zucchini, shallots, garlic and thin slices of lemon. Then I squeezed more lemon over the entire pile of goodness. I closed the foil up like a pouch and cooked it for 40 minutes on 425. Best. Dinner. Ever.
  • Tofu and/or cottage cheese for non-meat options. Not that I dont also love a slab of chicken, just thought I would throw that out there.
  • Seriously? Maybe she started out smaller than you. Maybe she has been working out for less time. These threads piss me off. People making ANY effort should be encouraged. I am happy to hear that people delete "over-sharers". Better that you are not 'friends' with them as you aren't going to be any sort of support.
  • From what I have read both on this site and others is that it's extremely important to net 1200 calories. This will keep your metabolism healthy. I know that when I have netted under 1100 for an extended amount of time, I will have initial loss, but not be able to maintain. A few days of overeating or underexercising and…
  • Mine are grey. Minnetonka's. LOVE THEM (and I am at work) -- #rulebreaker.
  • I ate 100% raw for all of December and felt good, but I know I need protein to lose pounds. I am now about 70% raw adding in some cheeses and definitely chicken. Eating clean is working really well for me. I net anywhere from 1100 to 1250 calories per day and work out 5-6 days per week. So far so good!
  • Hey Girls! I just invited myself to this group. Here is a touch about me. I am 33, married, and have a 21 month old boy. I work full time and am fininishing up a Master's Degree. I live in Utah but am originally from California. I have ALWAYS restricted calories to a dangerous degree and struggled with yo-yo ing. I have…
  • Wow ... I hope you're not a therapist. Lol. Weight loss is not this simple for everyone.
  • I have a Breville Juicer and I LOVE it. My fave is cucumber, apple, lemon, ginger. MMMMMM. I put Kale and Spinach in too for the nutrients, but leave them out of the name so I can pretend I am only drinking delicious things.
  • I set my activity level as sedentary because 1/2 the week I work a desk job. The days I am not at work I am power cleaning and chasing a toddler. I count the heavy cleaning I do on those days because my my activity level setting doesnt account for it. Does that make sense? I would say if you hve set it at moderate, I would…
  • Staples on my grocery list include Ezekiel 4:9 bread Cottage cheese Greek Yogurt Laughing Cow Cheese (spreadable swiss is great on toast or sandwiches or with apples - processed? yes. Delicious, also yes.) Chicken breast (that I cook and cube and store for later use in tacos, salads etc.) FRUIT VEGGIES ( I am better at…
  • OMG I totally do this! You are not alone. I wiill eat a whole bag of chocolate chips or whatever and think THANK GOD THEY'RE GONE, and I feel like I can start fresh tomorrow. I am an all or nothing kind of gal. I would rather fail hard and fast than have to deal with little failures every day. YAY! I am so glad you posted…
  • During the first part of your post I was thinking either low iron or panic attacks. Then you mentioned both. Funny how it's isolated to when you have to stand and listen to some one talk to you. This leads me to think it's panic. Can you describe more of the symptoms? Racing heart? Sweaty Palms? anything like that?
  • I do! But it's usually just a cheat meal. There was a thread like this on The Daily Plate where people listed their BEST CHEAT DAY EVER. It was awesome to see the shameful things people did -- It made me feel like my cheat meal was not so bad after all. And all the people I saw who were regularly cheating were still losing…
  • This has happened to me in the past. I know it sounds Hokey, but the other poster was right. I used to think a calorie was a calorie was a calorie, but it realllllly matters what you're eating. I eat mostly raw foods and since I made that transition I have found that I can eat a TON of food and still stay under my calorie…
  • Hello!! I am new to this site also. I was logging calories and such on Livestrong.com (The Daily Plate) which, while accurate and informative, was not this user friendly. When I was using that site, I would often forget to log things -- BUT, the thing that I love about MyFitnessPal is the Android App! I have my phone on or…
