  • Soooo cute!^ My NSV has been people telling asking me if I've lost weight- SO much better than being asked (incorrectly) if you're expecting.
  • From one tall lady to another, congrats! You started out beautiful and you can tell from your smile in the later pics that the weight loss has done you good. Woo!
  • I clearly don't belong in America. Everyone's so uptight about time here, as you all have proven. I belong in a Latin nation- for example, Venezuela. I remember one time when I was visiting there, we were told the bus would come pick up our group at 11am. Didn't get there until 2pm and no one cared because we had fun in…
  • ^LOL!
  • Better late than never! :P I'm a time-optimist. I will always think there's more time than there really is before I need to be somewhere/do something. Terrrrible internal clock, things that take a long time a long feel short to me. It's definitely genetic, as my parents are the same way. But not my sister- she HATES that…
  • Reading all your posts, I can't believe how little tact and manners people have! Didn't anyone see Bambi- if you don't have something nice to say, don't say it! (That goes for backhanded compliments too) As for me, I've had people ask me if I was pregnant on several occasions...genetically, I carry my weight in my stomach…
  • Wow well done! I know p90x is no joke!
  • Woooo! Love green tea, especially jasmine green tea :) I think I'll go have a hot cup now, this post inspired me :D
  • My wardrobe was going to waste because things I used to love to wear weren't fitting (namely favorite pairs of jeans). Went to the doctor and the nurse quickly and seemingly carelessly weighed me, and I came in at my highest weight ever, almost 180 (which was much to close to 200lbs for my comfort). I was shocked. Then I…
  • Don't worry about high sugar from fruit, it's always good to eat lots of fruits and veggies! :) Just everything in moderation, of course. Any sort of processed sugar is what you should be looking out for.

  • ^That's my rule too! I am curious what you guys think about honey- sometimes I have it in my tea or with yogurt and it's very high in sugar. Is this "as bad" as something like candy/processed sugar/other desserts?
  • Food Should Taste Good™ brand chips/crackers- particularly Sweet Potato and Olive. Ah.maz.ing. Also almond butter with/on everythiiiing :P :D
  • Congrats!!! :D :D :D I feel like I will be the same way (with a growing weight loss goal)- using MFP as a tool really makes me motivated because it's so easy :) I'm scared to get to 'maintenance mode' though. I'm sure it'll be about finding a balance that you feel comfortable with. Way to go!
  • I bought two boxes of Thin Mints and two boxes of Samoas- I just had 2 of each type for dessert but am regretting it. I think I'll take my unopened boxes to the office or like someone posted above- send them overseas to the troops or something equally charitable. I need to get the sugar out of the house, I try not to buy…
  • This is a very helpful tip- I told myself that sugar in fruits and other natural things was ok and you have reconfirmed that! I have a major sweet tooth and carry my weight in my stomach so I do need to pay attention to my sugar/carb intake. But no apples, strawberries etc. was just too hard. Thanks for the tip! :)
  • My favorite snacks aside from meals are- -Apple or Rice Cake with Almond Butter -Sweet Potato Chips (From a company called Food Should Taste Good- these are amazzzzing) -Any amount of fruit (dried, in smoothies and best of all, fresh!) -Veggies- sugar snap peas, carrots, celery. You can top with peanut butter to make them…
  • My rule of thumb is that the guy shouldn't have longer hair than me (I have fairly long hair). The 'shag' is always sexy (chin to shoulder length mop top) but I am not a fan of ponytails on guys, I would say that's a turn off.
  • Not sure if it's sold everywhere in the country but 312 Beer from Goose Island only has 135 calories in a 12 oz. bottle. It's a great beer! Otherwise you could always go with a Coors or it's equivalent for 102 calories or MGD 64 calorie beer. Champagne is also a nice low calorie option that I enjoy :)
