  • Stick with the exercise. Your metabolism will begin to improve as time goes on. Increasing your metabolism will result in increased burning of calories. Don't deprive yourself of a total net calories of 1580 a day. (calories intake - exercise calories). If you deprive your body of nutrition your body will store fat to…

  • I too can't drink cow's milk. I prefer Rice Milk, by far. Not grainy at all, like many people say. Although, when I drank cow's milk....lots of it....I drank skim milk. Rice milk is very similiar to skim milk. Almond milk does have a light almond taste. A new milk i have recently tried that was good is hemp milk. Good luck,
  • @vailara: I understand that feeling, I really slowly progressed due to fear.I think whatever the doc tells you. The damage to our heart is different for everybody. I do always wear a heart monitor and the gym I go to has built in monitor that read the belt that I wear around my chest. The ultrasound showed the the blood…
  • @priv8life - Yes, I really have adjusted to a vegan/vegetarian diet. I like to cook so that helps. I use to be a meat and potatoes lover and also enjoyed the occassional fast food meal. I now eat mostly scratch cooking. I enjoy hearty salads i.e. Spinach, lots of fresh veggies, fresh fruit or cranberries, some type of bean…
  • Priv. Good for you. You sound committed to making a difference. I think for many people they don't think they can stick with a healthy lifestyle and give up before they realize that they can live a long healthy life, even after a heart attack. A girl I was dating in High School (35 years ago) recently posted on facebook…
  • That is a personal choice. I have been working hard over the last year and feel great. I was very close to death and what works for me when i don't feel like going to the gym or crave something unhealthy...... I think about being on the phone with the 911 operator and telling her I wasn't going to make it. I gave her…

Within a couple of minutes I had chest pain that was…

The other side affect was a little (excuse the pun) problem with erctyle disfunction. I aso take Effeint (blood thinner), 325 mg of aspirin, livalo…
  • Right Coronary Artery, 5 Stents. I had life long inflammation issues. Turns out I had a number of food allergies and now follow a very strict diet.
  • Can't figure out the pic posting just yet
  • I also has a heart attack in April 2011. I've lost about 30lbs since that day and feel great. I am now vegan and hopefully I am reversing my heart disease. Continuing to lose weight and following doctors orders, with regards to exercise. I was also tested for food allergies and have eliminated those items which were…

  • "Have a good day, unless you have other plans!" I am responsible for my attitude!
  • You are converting fat to muscle... muscle weighs more.... stay the course. Don't focus on your weight! Continue to focus on a healthy meal plan and exercise!
  • @bexdc Hmmmm, that's how I train my dog
  • Doesn't sound like gluten. I had a similiar problem that went on for a couple of years. After beiong tested for food intolerances I found out that I was allergis to red pepper and especially black pepper. When I eliminated both of them, my cough disappeared.
