First, I would cut yourself a little slack. It's tough to be in a place where you do not have any support. Obviously, you can get some here. Also, maybe a simple gym membership isn't going to work for you. I would keep trying things until you find something you get passionate about. For me, I take martial arts where there…

I am just getting started again. Losing weight seems better than buying a whole new wardrobe! :p I'm looking for more support so I can really be successful this time. Feel free to send me a request. Let's do this!

I wouldn't get too hung up on the number at this point. If you're training and eating right you are probably changing your body composition even though it doesn't show on the scale.... YET! Keep it up!

I used to have the same problem. I couldn't just stop cold turkey so I got something small that I could satisfy my craving but not go overboard. Hershey Kisses worked great for me! Some nights I would have 5-6 and eventually got down to 1 or 2. Never crave anything late anymore since I usually have a glass of chamomile…

Waiting for it to hit the shelves in Mass. Had my first taste at a beer fest this past Saturday and happy this lives up to the hype. Also hoping for some Firestone Walker Parabola.

I'm considering taking a SUP lesson and getting a board if I like it. How are enjoying it? How often do you get out and what kind of waters are you going in? In New England we have a variety of lakes, rivers, and the ocean of course. We live in a coastal town so I am really interested in this!

You may want to try to add yoga to your routine if the high impact exercising is wearing down your body. I began a regular yoga practice after I injured my knee running. It was a little rough at first but now that I gained the flexibility I never have joint pain. I do Bikram yoga but you could try anything I guess!

Started the day with a 90 minute Bikram Yoga class!

I had the same issues with mine. Not only would it read up to 220 but it would read in the 60's while I was at the peak of my workout. Sometimes it works fine but other times I get this behavior. I have no idea what causes it but I rarely use it now. I thought it was a great tool but only if it works! Now I just estimate…

I recommend that you give it a try and decide for yourself. My wife and I have been doing Bikram yoga for about a month and a half and it is now our primary activity. I kept hurting my knees running, among other aches and pains getting in the way of my progress. I have Bikram to be strengthening and restorative to my…

It could be any number of things but I wouldn't be overly concerned if it is not happening during your workout and you are not getting short of breath during your workout. It may have been that you didn't drink enough through the day, prior to your workout or it may be related to something you ate or even a virus.

This is good thinking. I have seen much better results when I am having more protein. I drink the GNC brand which is pretty economical. Each serving of 3 scoops is 60 grams of protein. I generally get enough protein so I will have a scoop and a half for 30 calories every mid-morning.…

That's awesome! Just more motivation to keep you going!

Definitely veggies are the way to go. Carrot sticks aren't bad since they give you something to chew. 900 calories does seem extreme. If you are finding it too difficult I would revisit with the doctor.

After going out to eat every weekend and drinking many beers. By the time Sunday came around I was so uncomfortable and disgusted with myself I knew I had to change. I had lost 10 pounds earlier this year and put it all back on. It was awakening that this is a permanent lifestyle change for me.
