Of course it has, it's from a magazine shoot. Luckily I can tell the difference between photoshopped and non-photoshopped. It's still Gina Carano though and she looks F***img amazing in real life.

Mon, Wed, Fri- compound lifts Tue,Thur- circuit training (kettlebells, body weight exercises etc) Might do some running at the weekend if I feel like it- well jogging and walking really not proper running!

Yep, I'm around 200 at the moment (not entirely sure as I'm trying to not weight too often) and I have at least 70 pounds to lose- I'm only five foot tall. Feel free to add me!

I had a really bad sprain in December and the Doctor told me it can take 12 weeks to heal. I actually took 6 weeks off exercising (which I regret now but at the time it was so painful) and today was the first time I'd exercised without my ankle support. Give it a bit more time I would say.

Are you drinking lots of water? If you are new to exericse your muscles could be hanging onto extra water.

Nice. Personally I don't care if they change the face, skin tone an you can see from those images that the lighting effect is quite often changes, but I don't like it when they change someone's body. I can't really give you a sensible reason why, it's just my feelings/opinion.

I love your blazer!

All I can think of reading this is Gavin & Stacey. Good luck!

Are you in the UK? Davina McCall DVDs are quite good for beignners I think, not too hard. Look at the earlier ones though rather than the more recent ones. I also second the walking suggestions, especialy if you can listen to music as well.

There's lots of us! Feel free to add me

I started off with 10kg, occasionally used 8kg for clean and press (I have a shoulder problem so can't always use really heavy in moves that would aggravate it). I bought mine from ebay, it was £18 I think.

West Midlands- always looking for more UK friends, feel free to add me

I have never had a plus one on an invite for a wedding, not even when I was in a relationship, so I always just go on my own. It's fine, I would maybe invite plus ones for family but at the end of they day it's your wedding, do what's right for you. People should be able to manage a few hours away from their partners and…

Your times are quicker than mine and I'm lighter than you! My first 5K I did at about 185 pounds I think and it took me 48 minutes. I jogged about 25% of it and walked the rest. That was outside running. I did my second 5K last week on the treadmill and it took me 55:56! I now weight about 200 and it was my first time on a…

I don't think it will make your face look fatter but I know my face is too fat to cut my hair short again now. Although a lot of people would say it was short because it's only a bob.

I've decided to give it up- not forever- and I will drink if I go out (which doesn't happen very often) and for birthdays, on holidays etc but not my normal couple of glasses of wine at home a couple of times a week. It's more calories, and it makes me eat more, so even more calories and I'm only on 1400 a day (before…

BMR is for everyone- it's just not really mentioned here in the UK- I hadn't heard of it before I joined MFP. I eat around or a bit below my BMR, but I have also worked out my BMR on several different websites and got quite different numbers. You could look up MFP member helloits dan- he has a system that a lot of poeple…

Look into Stronglifts, it's a more simple routine. I personally found new rules too complicated so I just do compound lifts.

I take Thermopure from MyProtein.com- not for fat burning though, just because I find it gives me extra energy. I take 2 before a workout and I can seem to push myself a bit more. I just look at it like drinking a cup of coffee to give me eneergy from the caffeine, but I can't stand coffee!

Ugh don't even get me started on this. I had a boss at work who would lecture me at east once a week about how I HAD to get married and I Had to have children. My family treats me like a freak because of the way I choose to live my life. I honestly have no idea what makes people think it's OK to tell others how they should…

I love all of you! Great thread

This! I don't know why but it drives me mad.

If you're losing weight then you will be losing some muscle but if you are strength training and eating an adequate amount of protein you can help to prevent losing too much muscle. To be honest I would double the amount of protein you're having. 45g is not that much.

Yep, my mum has severe osteoporosis and her Dr said me and my sister have to be really careful about diet etc to try and avoid it. That's why I lift weights! My sister unfortunately refuses to do any exercise except cardio. Apparently wanting muscles is weird :-/

I know it's completely off topic but I have to confess to reading through Vjohn04's profile. Nearly two years ago my mum fell and crushed her L4- she couldn't even have surgery because her osteoporosis had made her spine like a block of cheese according to her surgeon. That is why I lift weights, so I can avoid…

Lots of water and make sure you eat plenty of protein and good fats. I find that keeps me fuller for longer than eating lots of carbs.

Go, just go! I'm one of the biggest people at my gym but I have met lovely people there and never had any bad encounters. If you want to try weights then I would recommend getting a trainer (if you can) for a few sessions and getting on the free weights. I use the Olympic bar just for compound lifts and the other blokes in…
