Is is sad that I actually do like to eat anything orange? especially butternut squash lol. I don't think I eat anything blue. So, as somebody who is eating for my hair type, it's clearly working, I have yet to self combust :drinker:

I just stopped and took up vaping instead (never had a problem with nicotine addiction but enjoy the physical act of smoking so this enables me to stop smoking and enjoy the health benefits, but continues to let me fulfil my behavioural desire - plus there's all sorts of groovy flavours!)

this evening I ate a ton of curly fries and some spicy chicken wings. I also haven't worked out for a couple of weeks! And I probably won't until all this xmas malarky is over either. I'm not even sorry.

I have some dumbells, unfortunately space would prohibit anything bigger as I'm in a small flat (the cross trainer has already taken over what little lounge space there is!) so I think I'm erring towards the fitbit or similar more (though the inspiration to do online fitness stuff is a great one, definitely going to be…

No sports! Bacon or Chocolate?

From reading the whole post, I would say being 155lb is the real culprit for you not fitting into your 140lb jeans  But that's cool, we're all there or have been there. My only real advice here is when you ask for opinions and advice on mfp you'd better actually want it, because everyone's very good at being open and…

This is actually wholly unappealing to me I'm afraid! Having an old dog that gets stressed by strangers, and my general unease for social interaction, puts this bottom of the pile.. I am pretty good when it comes to form as I did many years ago use a gym, and my mum was into weight liftting when I was growing up. I…

Thanks for this post, with my bottle of wine it has made my Saturday night! :drinker: Your squats aren't your problem, your weight is. Don't give up on the squats until you have gotten back to the weight that you desire, you'll probably find you love your *kitten* more then

You missed out, it was a fulfilling experience to read the entire thread.. or that's the wine talking! :drinker:

the first time I started out on mfp, I logged everything I ate in a day.. now it was an exceptional day granted, but I logged every last bit to see where I was going wrong - it was a 5000 calorie day! But I enjoyed every second of it and it started me on my path to awareness. Log everything, even if you go over. i go over…

There is nothing "only" about 5lbs! Well done with your achievement, and keep it up

For programmes? Sure some great stuff has come from there over the years. The whole TV licence thing? An absolute crock of sh*te. The "detection vans" don't exist, and the bullying tactics used to enter property and threaten / scare people can be irritating at best and downright apalling at worst (very much area dependant…

Eating, definitely eating.. I lurves me some christmas food!

Does it have some magic atrophying property that science has overlooked? Whilst I have lost more from cutting down alcohol, I believe it is simply due the reduction in calories - and whilst I'm enjoying losing and being fitter, I still enjoy my wine - if it means I have to hit the cross trainer to fit it in, so be it. As a…

I actually have no idea of what has happened here... I'm going to go back to the RDJ thread :drinker:

I'm on firefox, no ads here. Time to find yourself a better browser!

I came back here, and it's made me happy all over again

Very interesting, though as a blanket statement I'm not sure how that gives extra support to your arguments, as well as dashing your claims of not responding again  Must be the wine talking..

I do salads like this pretty much every day too, except for me it's lunch as I like having bigger evening meals. It's nice to mix it up with different meats or dressings, but all in all looks like a good and tasty dinner.

practice practice and more practice - specifically, I found tai chi helped immensley with balance, as does basic yoga and pilates (which I think I probably do better at thanks to the foundation in tai chi)

and my day is now completed by finishing it off back here, cheers! :drinker:

Don't do it, especially with progressives - you need to be measured up to get the correct centration otherwise it's just pot luck if everything will even be sitting in the right place in relation to your eyes to work as they should. I'm an optical assistant and have seen so many remakes on internet buys, particularly with…

This is EXACTLY what I needed in my life right now, thanks!

This! I was also brought up to not waste food, and hell I can't afford to watch food I've paid for get thrown away either so if I were to eat out, I would either finish it, log honestly and do some more exercise / move onto the next day, or I would totally bring leftovers home for the following day! It makes me cringe when…

polar ft4 here, love it, and would definitely get again. Previously I had the f4, which when the battery died pretty much that was it as it fries the circuitry if you try to change it yourself (found out the hard way, but seeing as I got it for a fiver on ebay felt it was worth the gamble). The Ft4 and above have…

I can't afford the gym and find it very hard to motivate myself to leave the house once I'm done with work for the day, and typically work over 50 hours per week - once i've sorted my dogs out I know that if I hit the sofa I won't get up for the rest of the night, so I don't give myself a chance to seetle, just throw on my…

Stop with a diet that is clearly so unhealthy it is making you ill. Start calorie counting, eat a balanced diet and exercise. You will lose real weight rather than water weight, keep it off and feel brilliant. I know this is the case because that's exactly what I, and many others here are doing!

I've just started doing my exercise routines in a fleece. Because it's cold! My hrm doesn't measure any different burns from when I wasn't wearing it. Don't cook yourself in the mistaken belief it will make you lose more - it'll just make you more dehydrated and less comfortable - and I know when I'm not as comfortable, I…
