how long have you been doing it? How accurate is your food measuring? At 9.5 stone loss is going to be veeeery gradual, like less than half a pound a week probably - and that's fine! You are well within the normal weight range for your height. I'm the same height and at 153 I am losing around 1/2 lb a week as well and I've…

totally worth it, and personally I find it very motivating to see my calorie burns, I try to earn myself a glass of wine a night hehe  I have the polar ft4, which I got on ebay for 20 quid, with the chest strap. Totally worth taking a look if you need to budget! (and definitely get a good hrm, you need a chest strap,…

yep, get a polar. But, to be honest if you only weigh 128 and are pretty fit then 200 for 45 minutes wouldn't be unheard of, I'm 153ish atm and not overly fit, and a 35 minute session on average sees me burning between 200-250 calories depending on how hard I go.

If you have a really strong blink reflex this is the thing you need to overcome - before trying them again, get used to doing the following: holding your eyes open without blinking, and touching the white of your eye (with clean dry hands!) It really is mind over matter and perseverence to begin with, has an optician been…

Whilst all incredibly impressive I would hazard a guess that most of us will find pretty much all of these out of our ability so I'm not sure I'd call them the "best" bodyweight exercises... awe-inspiring yes, that dude has some serious ability, but I'm not going to feel bad that I will never do a superman pushup!

unless in that month you consumed nearly 89000 calories over your TDEE, this is not likely to be true. Have you consulted a doctor to rule out medical causes?

Right now? Joggers. socks, a vest top, long sleeved fleece and a fleece hat. I really don't cope well with the cold!

We'd need to be able to see your diary to be able to comment properly on any changes you could make - would you mind opening it?

That's not puppy pie, they're rat pinkies  ... Which probably don't taste bad if they're anything like normal rat

Because it's photoshopped in!

This. It could be something else altogether, particularly if decent shoes and gait analysis haven't helped in the slightest: http://www.runnersworld.com/injury-treatment/mistaken-identity I got awful splints when I first took up c25k, and I was very unfit - a decent pair of running shoes completely changed it for me. I…

Nope, still looks good!

cous cous, beans, butternut squash, maize meal.. all very cheap and can be made to taste awesome. Check my diary out for ideas, I probably spend £10 a week on food for myself and I get plenty of variety. Love doing things like stuffed peppers, pasta or other vegetable bakes, mediterranean or moroccan inspired medleys. This…

1: weigh first! 2: search the food database, it's all on there

Me and my best mate dressed up as zombie Daphne and Velma from Scooby Doo! Funniest thing was, I have since been asked by someone if they can borrow my "Daphne wig" for her daughters dress-up - I had to politely decline in view of the fact that it is in fact my own hair so I'm very attached!

I think you might be getting tryptophan (precursor of seratonin) mixed up with Trichinosis (an infestation of a parasitic roundworm) here! Specifically, turkey does contain tryptophan, but it is the addition of carbohydrate that allows the body to convert it into seratonin, which gives the feel good vibe and often the…

I guess I'm one of the few that would say screw it and go for gluttony :drinker:

Cleanses are a load of rubbish - the claim of 3lbs loss in your first day? you would have to eat at a defecit of 10500 calories in that day - seeing as even a hugely overweight person is probably not going to have anywhere near that sort of calorific expenditure in being alive, even if exercising heavily for the ENTIRE…

Yes please, I'd give it a go! I still need to try the krispy creme doughnut burger thing, fell in love with that idea after seeing it on Man vs Food!
-
Ooh what was the other? I'm totally trying these tomorrow night :)

Zumba! Also second the idea of dancing about flailing like a fool, it's by far the quickest and easiest way to burn calories

Whilst I love cooking, after working 2 jobs, sorting out my 3 dogs and getting some exercise in, cooking is often the last thing I want to do. One of my go-to meals is butternut squash, cous cous and chicken, or similar variations on the theme. It takes NO effort - slice a chuck of squash (don't even need to peel it),…

I use it raw as a base for salad then shove allsorts on top, my most recent is pomegranite seeds, spring onions, tomato, prawns and some sweet chilli sauce, yum! If fact I haven't even starting cooking with it yet, I just love it raw  Icelands has just started doing 300g bags for £1 so it's very affordable, and I…

Because sexual preference bears effect on weight loss? You're on MFP - you should have plenty of people you can relate to!

This is not the Bacon Dilemma. The Bacon Dilemma is having run out of bacon. You have three pieces - eat! i probably wouldn't even rinse it unless it had attracted many dog hairs.. even then it goes in the bread. Chow down!

All great suggestions! A few others, if you have a wii then zumba and my fitness coach are both programmes I love to do, also a skipping rope is inexpensive, and perhaps my favourite workout, the "drink a bottle of wine and dance like crazy whilst doing karaoke at the top of your lungs" programme (wine optional of course)…
