6 tattoos, all fairly large, and in the past have had around 40 body peircings, though most I have retired, the majority I can still put jewelry through if I want to. Of the ones that I still wear, my belly button is done twice, my tongue, 1 of my four nose piercings, and a handful of earrings are all still in daily…

I also love my ft4

3 weeks is no time to be able to see results, a lot of us didn't see things start moving until we had been at it for 6+ weeks, you're expecting too much too soon!

The man speaks the truth, peanut butter is magical once combined with chocolate :drinker:

Great example of premack as a reward for compliance!

As for motivation, does food motivate him when in a non distracting environment? This is where you begin the training process, you don't take it "out on the road" as it were until the desired behaviour is proofed and gradually expanded until the dog can generalise the behaviour in new environments. Using premacks principle…

here's another nice one. I would encourage you to look into clicker training as a method to teach this as it is incredibly successful when done right http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MLkZNfZNQmo

This is the most barbaric advice and piece of equipment. why should pain be used as a fallback for poor training? For the record I am a dog trainer and have worked with thousands of dogs, and am thankful these awful devices are comparitively rarely used in my country. From a pure health and safety perspective, you want to…

I on average eat around 1300 a day, more on exercise days, and I never sweat going over which happens quite a bit.. but still, which bits do you think were low? If you were specifically looking at yesterday (the aforementioned pub crawl) then yes, I ate bugger all and it was very naughty of me, but not normal

My advice is, that's fine! If it fits into your calories, why the hell not? That's the whole point, so long as your within goal, you're gonna lose weight, so why not enjoy those things, especially if you've earned the calories from some hard-earned exercise! :drinker:

This wouldn't be a good tip for me.. I won't touch diet coke again after it gave me a serious delhi belly a few weeks back! Not to mention the caffeine aspect on it disturbing sleep. I think there are much better low cal ways to stave off a bit of hunger. And if you plan your meals well enough there's no need to end up…

So perhaps your resting HR is actually 70 rather than 60 as you thought? Or, the hrm is counting a bit high perhaps. MY resting hr is usually around 70-73 on the hrm, it's an ft4 so I tend to believe the accuracy

Is this for real? no, two pieces of chocolate will not make you put on 2lbs (unless they were 7000 calories? No? Safe then) and people are being sarcastic with the master cleanse advice - and the eating earlier. You did fine, 2 pieces of chocolate, especially dark, is actually a very healthy thing to do. And it was…

I guess I live in a very different neck of the woods.. around here, we have many acceptable off lead areas for dogs, fields, woods, beaches, parkland, and it's the norm for them to be off lead on these walks. I encounter very few people that aren't accepting of dogs in these areas, it's a very dog-orientated community. I…

I think it's great that you want to get outside, so I'm not going to tell you stop doing it, but I am going to say, you can exercise at home if you want! I have real motivational issues so for me doing home workouts is great, no excuse to not exercise if the cross trainer blocks the view of the tv from the sofa - I wanna…

Lol me too - actually now I'm in Whitstable, lived in Canters for years

True point there - I was thinking more along the lines of providing a liquid breakfast option for the OP who said they didn't really manage breakfast, rather than thinking about the protein goal.. So I guess, add a bit of powder to the above mix if protein is desired.. But having just tried the milkshake mix with added…

Thankfully she was alright, just very shaken and bruised.. the cyclist didn't even stop he just went straight on over her and kept going. You get *kitten* everywhere, no sense in trying to stereotype them

From another perspective, as a pedestrian who had her dog run over by a cyclist that also thought it was a good idea to ride in a pedestrian only zone, I would have to disagree. I undertstand the principle of what you're saying, but rules is rules, and bikes belong on the road, people belong on the paths (I also as a…

Oh I'm so getting some peanut butter to add in, sounds amazing!

It can be found on the BBC iplayer http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer

See this sounds much more positive. My post wan't intended to bash the organisations per say, more the way the documentary left one feeling at their protrayal.. like I said, it was just very awkward and sad, and I have no doubt that was the exact intention of the director. There really didn't seem much emphasis on the…
-
Yes it definitely seemed edited to give an awkward feel to it all, I'm sure if they wanted to paint it more positively or negatively it wouldn't have been hard - but the awkward feeling, just leaves me so cold! Thanks BBC :grumble: *runs to youtube to watch some actually motivating videos to rebalance sanity levels*

nice ink too

I'll be honest and say I enjoy smoking. I like the action, I like inhaling. But I have never been a fan of the smell, and the fact that I am prone to lung problems and emphysema thanks to genetics. I have never had cravings and at one point just stopped for 2 years. But I took it up again when my life went to pot lol. I…

And as a vegetarian, do you consume eggs? (sorry to sound dumb, but you described yourself as vegetarian not vegan, but I didn't want to offend by suggesting taboo foodstuffs!) if they're on the menu, then omelettes, boiled, scrambled, you name it

Have you got a link to the modified programme you used? My first time on MFP I was just interested in weight loss, but this time around I've got myself some smallish weights and want to add in as much as I can with them

Alone? Only if you were eating in quantities to achieve your calorie goals (and you'd have some fun toilet issues I should imagine if you just ate THAT much all bran lol)
