My favorite thing to do with quinoa is to cook it up in some chicken broth - then toss it with steamed veggies (broccoli, carrots, green beans, etc.), grilled chicken, and some crumbled feta cheese or boursin cheese (just a little so you get a nice tang every now and then, but not too many additional calories). So good -…

Try quinoa - cook some in chicken broth to give it more flavor, toss in some grilled chicken breasts, broccoli, green beans, carrots (really, any vegetable you like), and just a tad bit of feta or boursin cheese so you get that bit of a tang every now and then to keep it interesting :)

I always find, too, that when I eat more protein I tend to feel full longer, and my calorie intake goes down. :)

1.5 pounds a week sounds do-able! I'll be that much closer to my goal weight if I can stay motivated! :)

I am 5'5" and currently weigh 177 - I am comfortably in 12s, and depending on the brand, I am in 10s (of course, on the flip side of that, I have a pair of 14 jeans that still fit. Boo!).

That sounds DELISH! Thanks for sharing! :)

I have a great crock pot cookbook at home - I will look tonight and let you know the name of it and some of the recipes I have made from it :)

I am hoping to get down to 140 - but I would be happy anywhere in the 140s, honestly! I have my daddy's legs (thanks a lot, dad!), so I hold a lot of muscle there and it just seems hard for me to get down any smaller than that. I was 140 in college, and was in GREAT shape, so that's why I'm thnking anywhere in the 140s…

I'm in, too! I decided today that I would be starting back on my weightloss goals, so this will be a perfect stepping stone to get to the end! :) 5% for me would be 8.8 lbs, so I rounded up to 9 :) SW: 177.4 Halloween goal: 168.4 Overall Goal: 140
