THAT has to be the THE single most awesome quote mash up I have ever read. :D

Oh that looks so cool. *scuttles off to the App store to see if it's available*

Hi I'm Krissie and my superpower is that I have a rediculously long memory and retain lot of random information about all sorts. I adore there is this group on here, why I have I not found it sooner? :)
-
Oh and I'm not religious, I just know lots of really random things :)

Traditionally it was the last day to use up all the 'rich' foods - so flour eggs milk and fats before the fasting period of lent. It was done to signify that we mortals could also sacrifice certain comforts (those food stuffs being 'rich' in price too) during Lent, which is symbolic of the fourty days of fasting Christ did…

we used to have 2 Jif (cleaning cream, now called Cif) and Jiff lemon juice LOL - I never understood why the changed the name of Jif to Cif? *mind boggles* But yes you don;t want that on your pancakes haha
-
Ah now you've got to be careful which pancakes you mean. For us Brits pancakes on Pancake day are made traditionally with flour, eggs, lard (now most people use butter) sugar and a pinch of salt - the batter is runny and the outcome is more like Crepes. Pancakes that you eat with maple syrup and ice cream tend to be what…

Can we get an 'I LOVE THIS' icon over here please? Well said :)

It's something I call negative positivity. Those people are being genuine in complimenting you that you look great, because they didn't think you needed to change and now suddenly they see that you are more confident and happier in yourself and it shows in abundance - it's a shock for them just as much as it for us. But…

Your net calories are the calories that MFP give you. If it gives you 1400 as your calorie goal then you should eat 1400 - if you've done 400 calories worth of exercise then your new goal will read 1800, you eat 1800. NEVER have a minus figure or you're not giving your body enough fuel to make the journey. :) that said i…

Isn't it just? I too wish there was a catagory for singing. I front a heavy metal band and out of interest I worm my HRM to a gig of mine to see how much I burn during an average 45 minute set - bounding about the stage as you do under those lights, I work up one hell of a sweat - and lo my HRM registered over 500 cals for…

I'm on my last 20lbs to lose and I hear the 'oh you don't need to lose anymore' or 'you look fine as you are' comments all the time as so far I've lost 80lbs over the last 6 years. It's hard for people to grasp that if you are not happy with yourself you are not happy.... so I've stopped trying to convince them. I call it…

You're welcome, it's a hoot. You can get day passes and weekend passes. Although I think VIP are now sold out. Not massively expensive either and a great concept holding the entire thing indoors at a Pontins campsite ;) Might see you there.

First (on my own without the parents) - Monsters of Rock, Donnington 1990 with Aerosmith, Whitesnake and where I discovered Thunder. Last - Iced Earth Nov 11 Next - Hammerfest \m/ - Anthrax, Amon Amarth etc (I forsee a massive bangover after that weekend)

I have also fallen foul of the spelling and grammar trap. I think it's because I'm surrounded by proof reading and typing all day where I work. I then let slip on here and my blog. I'm forever going back over posts, editing every mistake, apostrophe abuse etc. It's taken me ten minutes to ensure this post is as accurate as…

What a fantastic post. Bravo :) And the daft thing is that harderst part for all of us to realise, and usually it's not until we've tried and failed 100 times then found that the answer was simple all along, is that we are worth the effort...and it does require effort. A great post, thank you :D

Because they are generally over processed and most of the nutritional value is removed from them in production. Wholegrains retain most nutirtion because they are closest to the grain/starch in original form. Usually for weightloss etc we always say keep it simple, for Carbs though the opposite is true, keep it complex ;)

That gradual withdrawal scam is nasty but funny. OP - well done on 6 days. Keep going. I quit 6 years ago on monday and it was the best thing I EVER did. You can do it (I used a £5 hypnosis CD too and I still maintain it was the best £5 I've ever spent) Keep going and good luck xx

If I could, a shopping day with Gok Wan (Uk Fashionista) He cracks me up :) But ultimately I'm having a day at a photography studio. I've also got my first quals as a fitness isntructor so getting my Advance Dip in PT will be a reward. And a weekend at a Spa in Cornwall..... if I ask the hubby nicely I'm sure he'll pay ;)…

Because I'm worth the effort :D When I'm flagging on the Xtrainer, or I think the next weighted squat is going to be the end of me, I just remember that I'm worth every bead of sweat, every compliment that my new physique may gain, every inch I will lose, etc. You're worth it and you deserve to be the best person you can…
