To clarify - IMO, it is rude to comment on or discuss someone's weight, either too thick or too thin, unless asked specifically to do so. The comparison was that pornography, like "thinness" or "fatness", is notoriously difficult to define and varies often by person. However, again, like pornography, a person's…

Well, YEAH, in some circumstances. However, I generally refrain from discussing porn with strangers. :)

I normally don't like to criticize others' goals, but I am going to say one time that I cringe when I see stuff like this. 110lbs, unless a person is VERY finely structured at 5'5", its WAY underweight and UNhealthy. MFP is about being healthy, not solely fitting into a size 0. We all know the consequences of eating this…

Too thin, to any given person, is like porn - impossible to define, but you know it when you see it. But like porn, it's rude to talk about.

Oh, dear. I'm so sorry this is happening to you and your husband. That level of insecurity is terribly difficult to live with. I think that as you lose, you will prove you're not going anywhere, but that might not be enough for him. At which point, the only thing I can suggest is counseling for both of you, but…

Hiya, I'm Amanda, and I have 9lbs to get to halfway! Amazing that so many others have a goal of 9lbs, random! I did week 1 of C25K a week ago, but then stuff happened and I need to do it again. Tonight is my son's birthday, so tomorrow evening for sure. I want to get to under 200lbs!

Last night, my neighbour Jen, who I don't see often, was outside when I went to let me dog out. She and her boyfriend got engaged and she showed me her ring. Then she said, "wait, there's something different about your...face. OMG, YOU'VE LOST A TONNE OF WEIGHT!!"
-
ME! That'll get me to 200lbs even and halfway to goal. :D

I'm on 150mg 2x day and I've not noticed a difference at all. It works for me really well (the stoned feeling went away after a week) and with my IUD and cipralex, you'd think I'd be gaining all over the place, but nope. No problems. Eat well, exercise, drink your water, all is easier when not in pain.

The one that comes to mind at the moment is "The Pillars of the Earth" by Ken Follett. LOVE his writing. But then there's John Irving, Wally Lamb, and so many others. For light reading, I love Jan Karon's Mitford novels - so endearingly wholesome.

W1D3 done! About halfway through, I felt like I was lengthening my stride and going along well. I think I can do the 90 seconds in W2!
-
I've had one for 6 years and not one issue. For me, it works well.

Remember when I said I felt good after the run? Holy cats, I'm SORE today! My hips especially, but no pain in my knees, shins or ankles where I expected it. I'll have a hot epsom salt bath tonight, see if that helps. I'm out of town this weekend, but I will do the run when I arrive at my destination tomorrow after 4 hours…

I saw my tush in the mirror this morning and it has SHAPE!

Totally! I'm discovering my shoulders aren't actually as wide as I thought!

Hi there, I'm in the middle of being diagnosed with inflammatory arthritis (not sure which one yet!), I was diagnosed with FM a few years ago and some newly discovered osteoarthritis in my back. I will not let it get in my way though! I did week 1, day one of C25K yesterday and am a bit sore today, but nowhere near what I…

Please go and get a referral to a rheumatologist. Have the blood work and x-rays done to make sure you don't have rheumatoid arthritis. Your symptoms could be explained by RA, and it's not uncommon to show up at your age.
-
Wowza! How tall are you? You look stunning!
-
Just did W1D1 today! I feel terrific!
-
Exactly. Tell yourself this - it worked wonders for me. As someone who rewarded herself with food constantly, and as someone with a big yellow lab who laps up every food reward he can get his paws on, this really resonated. I am not a dog. I do not reward myself with food. At work, people announce if there is free stuff in…

OK, not true. A pound is a pound is a pound, whether it's feathers or bricks. What you may be trying to say is that a pound of muscle takes up less space than fat, in which case, yes, true.

I'm in TO! If you need some suggestions of places to go, things to do, people to see, let me know. I'd be glad to play tour guide. Toronto is great, but you have to know where to go.

You know, I've been doing a lot of reading about frame size recently. I think the reason people look at me and can't IMAGINE that I need to lose 53 more pounds is that I have a large frame (by wrist measurement - the NIH has a good site to accurately measure your frame) and carry my weight well, and am proportionate. If…
-
Yup! Outstanding achievement!
-
My man - his fuzziness. I love it. It's manly and sexy to me. Oh, also his deep voice, particularly when he just wakes up in the morning.
-
I always thought I had a large frame, but the wrist measurement proved it. I'm 5'6" and have a 6.75" wrist. My goal is 160lbs, and I'll re-evaluate at that time to see what works for me. You all are doing so well!

I'm IN! I've got about 14lbs to lose to get there. 7.5 weeks from today, I will be 199.9! :)
