Totally agreed on the salad front. If I end up somewhere without the ability to look up menu and nutrition beforehand, the salad section is the absolute last place I look for healthy options. Salads are often the most unhealthy items available at restaurants. Which is a shame, because they are so fantastic if they're…

Due to me having to avoid all fried foods, my fast food options are limited. And while I try to avoid them, sometimes I have no choice. Subway is one of my go-to options because I can load up on veggies. I'm steadily losing while eating subway occasionally and not having a problem.

A wrap: burrito sized tortilla, whatever meat I have on hand (lunchmeat, leftover chicken breast, etc), shredded cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, a bit of lite dressing (usually Ken's lite sweet vidalia onion) rolled up. If I'm making it in advance, I'll put it on a sheet of aluminum foil and wrap that up like a burrito too…

You can make all kinds of things that either keep for a week + in the refrigerator or are easily frozen. Foods with high moisture content freeze best, and meats are best frozen before they're cooked. If you have a bit of freezer space, I'd suggest looking at your local supermarket's weekly deals and getting your meats when…

I've lived in Winston all my life. My H and I are struggling with infertility, so we don't have any kids yet. If you have any questions about anything, let me know. You're welcome to friend me if you'd like.

There are usually a few options at each fast food restaurant that I know I can have. Wendy's grilled chicken go wrap is okay, but you can sub the honey mustard for pico de gallo and it's better. A small chili (nothing added but the chili sauce), a baked potato with chives and one tube of sour cream no butter, a side salad…

I always order a six inch Turkey on flatbread. Cheese, all the veggies I want (I usually get spinach instead of lettuce because it's more nutritious) and mustard. Sometimes salt and pepper and vinegar if I'm feeling it that day. If turkey, oven roasted chicken, or buffalo chicken are a $5 footlong deal for the month, I'll…

My husband and I have been TTC since May of 2008. I was diagnosed with PCOS in September 2008, but I am not insulin resistant. I do, however, take metformin and my fairly high dose (2000mg) is really helping melt the weight off, along with diet and exercise.

I did WW for about 4 months last year. It worked well for me, but I wasn't able to continue because of the cost. So I use MFP now and just don't track anything that WW would consider 'free' food. I don't load up on fruits and veggies, but I do try to eat more of them instead of proteins or carbs/starches. I also only have…

My husband and I have been TTC just over 4 years now. I am staying away from soy as well. I don't have high estrogen, but I already have a hard time with my hormones being out of whack thanks to PCOS, I don't need something else contributing to that. I'm also on Metformin and under the care of a reproductive…
