I would say keep leading by example & keep finding teaching moments. Go for walks or runs & invite her along. Do active activities as a family- skiing or hiking or swimming, etc. Keep discovering healthy meals that she loves & have her help you make them. Bring up casually that you've learned a new healthy living tip like…

When I eat too little, I lose mine. Maybe try eating 200 more calories a day (if you can &still lose weight) and see if it comes back? Or it might come back when your body adjusts. I would talk to your doctor if you don't get it back within the next 3 or 4 months tho.

Everybody is different, but I have found with a high protein diet, I lose weight like crazy! I don't eat meat except for tuna fish tho. And I eat eggs. I think a diet high in red meat is not very good for you, so try to get more from plant-based sources like beans and quinoa.

I think a lot of that is a mental thing. I have lost almost 70 lb and I feel like my stomach and hips and butt look the same. Obviously they are not, but it's so hard to see a difference. Maybe more strength training would help? That would help firm things up. That's my plan.

On the topic of frame size- I always thought I had a large frame because I've always been a big girl. Now that I have lost almost 70 lb though, it's looking like I have a smaller frame. I thought I had broad shoulders, but it turned out it was fat. It's so hard to get used to! My first goal is 170 lb and then I will go…

I was super sick for about a month and could hardly eat anything (probably 600 cal a day). I only lost a little bit of weight. Then, when I got better and started eating again (about 1500 cals a day), the weight just started flying off! Your body needs food! Otherwise it thinks it's starving and hangs onto everything!

Wow! That IS inspiring! Way to go! If you can do that now, just think what you will be able to do later! :)

Thanks....I'll just keep chugging along. It's not broke yet, so I'm not gonna fix it! ;)

I changed it back to 1400 calories. It says I should lose 1.5 lb. a week now. I just want to keep losing and not slow down too much, or I will get discouraged! :(

I agree with the person above that said focus on what you can eat, not what you can't. A few tips: 1. Don't try to replace food you're eating now with gluten-free options. Meaning, instead of eating gluten free bread for your sandwiches (which is usually pretty gross anyways), eat a salad. However, rice pasta and quinoa…

Don't do a crazy drastic detox! The MasterCleanse, and other detoxes like it, are horrible for your body! There's an article in Self magazine this month (the one with Elizabeth Banks on the cover) about detoxes that I highly recommend. The safest way to detox is to eat a really clean diet of mostly vegetables, fruit, whole…
