I use Endomondo for just about everything I do outdoors. I just checked and it does have interval training on it, although I've never used it. It might be worth giving it a shot.

I suspect the analog scale is out of tolerance. I used to calibrate hundreds of these "doctor" type scales for all of the high schools in the Phoenix area for the schools' wrestling program. Agreed, a combination of weight lifting and cardio is better than doing solely one or the other. You will lose weight if you do both. I've lost 11 lbs while gaining muscle mass.
