  • I roll out of bed between 4:15 and 4:30, have breakfast and get myself ready for the day. Then head off to meet my trainer at 6:00 am at the gym. Been doing this for several years. Once you get into the habit, I find it is normal. Unfortunitly, I find I can not sleep in when I do not go to the gym cause that messes up my…
  • I am not in the shape I want to be in, but my goal is similar to yours. Personally, I have a Personal Trainer who is a Body Builder and knows how to get people to the point I am working towards. He has done it for himself and for others so I just keep working with him for my work-outs and eating.
  • Well over 30, Not Married (or Relationship) and no Kids. Usually happy...
  • I never pay attention to Calories. I eat based on Macros only and don't really care how many calories I eat. Been working well for me now that I figured out the right macros for my body and goals.
  • I always hated the look of Panic people had when they were afraid I was going to sit next to them. It was a great feeling when I was able to fit in the seat AND not need a seat belt extender.
  • Yeah, I run my hand over my arms to feel my biceps and triceps and how firm they are getting, or over my pecs. Starting to do it on my shoulders too as they develop, or just grabbing around my waist and feeling the hip bone for the first time. Glad I am NOT the only one.
  • Great Job! 50 lbs is great. How many points are you measuring. If you are only focused on one or two locations, you may not see it cause your body loses and gains fat whereever it wants to. I also get Body Comps done in addition to measurements so I can see how things are changing. Keep going, you WILL eventually lose…
  • You look great! Keep at it, and if you start lifting, you might even get your arms to a point you are happy with without surgery. I have been lifting for almost two years, and I can see the difference. When i hit my "goal" I still had the fat ring at the elbow, that has been slowly moving up the arm. I still have wings but…
  • Interesting, I have not been using Pumpkin in things. I will have to try this.
  • You need to shift your focus. As I have come to realize, what is going to "change" when you reach your goal? Well, hopefully nothing (if you want to stay at your goal). So learn to live life as a healthy person, and focus on that, not on what the scale says. I have come to enjoy going to the gym and the friendships I have…
  • One thing that I will say is that when people see you lose weight, and it is a major change, they will tell you (Long before you are) that you are "Too Thin". I think it is because they are used to seeing you in a certain way and when that changes too much they start saying that. Do not go by the scale on weight, get a…
  • Just keep monitoring your weight and tracking what you eat. If you see the scale move up, cut more calories.
  • Second time (and last time) 45. No going back now, been three and a half years on this journey and reaching new levels every day.
  • I LOVE boot camp. I like the group exercise thing and everyone in my boot camp is so supportive of each other. It is great. And a great work-out. However, not all boot camps are the same, depends on the trainer as to the types of exercises you do.
  • Yes, I reward myself for major milestones, (50, 100, 150, 200)... Everything from a new tablet, to new jewlery. I like to buy things that I can hold on to forever (or a long time) just to remind me of the accomplishment. My next goal is to lose 50 lbs (down 30 of it) and I get to train my trainer.
  • I lost over 200 lbs using a meal replacment program and a health coach to get me on track and over my food issues. Once I lost the weight and started back on eating, I started putting on weight and could not get it stopped. That is when I started using MyFitnessPal to track my eating and exercise. I finally connected with…
  • Donated the REALLY big ones, gave the smaller big ones to my friends. It is an interesting thing to see them worn by my "THIN" friends and say "Hey! I remember that shirt". Yes, I am evil.
  • I wanted to go out and look at your food diary but it is private. Having spent a year trying to undo the damage to my body and metabolism that MANY years of Yo-Yo dieting have done I have faced many issues. Without looking at your Macros I can not give you specific advice, BUT I can give you some things to look at. 1. Lift…

  • My moobs have decreased, but I still have a ways to go. Keep losing fat, and build the muscle up. Seriously considered that if I can not get rid of them (and mine were BAD) I will see a plastic surgeon to get them corrected. However, I want to hit under 10% bf and hold it for a while before I go to that point.
  • Great Job! Keep on getting healthier!
  • 1. So I can walk from the Car to my Desk without getting Winded - DONE 2. To reach healthy medical numbers - DONE 3. To be able to be active and push myself to accomplish more - Done and In Progress 4. To Drop Below 10% Body Fat and see my ABS for the First Time - In Progress 5. To get STRONG I am sure the goal will keep…
  • I have been doing Low Carb since March and Keto Since May. My energy levels are fine and I am active, however, I tend to focus on High Protein, Low Carbs, Moderate Fat levels. It will take a while for you to adjust and if your calories are too low, you may feel flat. It take time to retrain your body to start fueling…
  • You do not have your diary open, so I can not look at your macros. I would suggest you ask this question in the low carb group, there are more people who are doing a low carb lifestyle. However, the first few days on a low carb diet, the weight loss is not fat, it is water. the gain could be your body stabalizing its water…
  • OK, well, I can tell you that not ALL the people on MFP are overeating and still struggling to lose weight. Hormones, metabalism and how peoples bodies are different does impact weight loss. I can show you food sheets over the last two years that are almost identical, and same calorie level, but sometimes it produces…
  • What are your Carb Levels, I find if I slip into "Fat Burn" or Keto I lose my appetite and need to remind myself to eat. Usually you slip into this after 3 days of Low/No Carbs. The strange this is if you don't eat, you feel empty but not usually hungry.
  • WOW! Sounds Great! Does it get smooth? Any time I try to do smooties with Ice cubes they get more like a slushie than a smoothie. Is the PB Natural or Unnatural?
  • When you say a Cup of Eggs, do you mean Whole Eggs, or Egg Substitutes? Try spacing out your eating more evenly throughout the day. Also I would look at taking out the "processed" foods like Pork Rines. But it is a good start, keep going and see what happens. You should open your food sheet if you want us to review and…
  • Feel free to Frend me for Ideas, but you want to eat Whole, Non processed foods... Eggs, Chicken Breast, Veggies, Nuts...
  • One of the things I have learned is you need all kinds of support. Some people would not work-out except they have a training partner or a trainer waiting for them who they do not want to call and say they are not coming. For me, a training partner pushes me further and helps me feel comfortable that I am not going to hurt…
