Have you checked this out yet? http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/654536-in-place-of-a-road-map-2-0-revised-7-2-12 It's got the explanation for why you DO need more food to help your body work! I'm 5'4" 129lb (down from 170), and I'm eating 1800 (from a TDEE of 2100) to lose. I work out 5 days/week (45-60 minutes of…

Sounds like you and I are similar--I'm 5'4" 129lbs, and I do 45-60 minutes of cardio 5 days/week plus 20 minutes of strength training 4 days/week. I have my TDEE calculations set at "moderate exercise" and I eat 1800/day to lose (with a TDEE of over 2100). If you did want to calculate your TDEE according to "sedentary,"…

the elliptical. it's just too easy--i know it's not burning THAT many calories, but it's my lazyday go-to machine. :)
-
on your profile, you'll see a list of forum posts that you've made--i believe that is where they "save" them when they say "bump."

Haha!! Thought this whole thread was a joke at first...
-
WOW girl that looks like a lot more than 46 pounds!!! way to go!! haha oh 71 that makes more sense--and i can't read. either way you look awesome!!

work it!

Myth: This thread is a good idea. Fact: This thread is an AWESOME idea. :) Thanks for the wildly entertaining arguments on the Interwebs.
-
OMG you look fantastic!!! (I'd get some new clothes.) ;) Great work!!
-
WOW way to go!! Your hard work has paid off!!!
-
Yup. Down to 127 pounds, and I still feel my invisible muffin top.

Following what All said, find your TDEE and eat 10-20% under that. It is almost always over 1200. I'm 5'4" 127lb, working out 5-6 hours/week, and my BMR (Base Metabolic Rate, the BARE MINIMUM I should be eating) is 1350. My TDEE is nearly 2200, so I eat around 1800/day to lose.…

Yes. Got from 170 to 140 in about 6 months, but getting from 130 to 125 has taken me 3 months and counting. Ugh. Just go at your own pace; everybody's going to be different. The important part is being healthy and going in the right direction. :)
-
That happened to me after eating 2200 calories 3 days in a row...in some cases, eating more can actually be good for you b/c it gives your body the energy it needs to meet the demands you're placing on it. (i.e. the "Eat More to Lose Weight" camp and IPOARM Method) Either way, sounds like a win!
-
YOU ROCK. Thanks for this!!
-
BUMP. I'm doing 30 minutes of strength with 45-60 minutes of cardio 4x/week plus 1 day of all cardio. I know it's too much, but I'm afraid that if I stop running, the fat will catch up. :)
-
WAY TO GO!!! You look fantastic; your hard work shows!!

nomnomnom

I've lost 40, and my goal is 45...I keep losing and gaining the same 4 pounds. It's like my body knows what I want and doesn't want to cooperate!!

You are AMAZING. Your hard work has paid off!!

^^This is my plan.

I'm a huge proponent of heavy-lifting, but I totally get the working-out-from-home thing. I would personally start with some Jillian Michaels stuff--that woman gets some serious results from some tiny weights. I thought Ripped in 30 did some good stuff for my arms, and of course she has Shred It With Weights, but that…

#7--I freaking love my food. If it weren't for pleasure, I'd eat broccoli and kale all the time. Lame. #10--If I've just been CRAVING a large portion of unhealthy food, I eat less, exercise more, and earn it. Once in awhile I want a fat night on my couch in front of my TV with my stretchy pants. I don't think that makes me…

you're making a great start!! i just started reading New Rules of Lifting for Women and it is FANTASTIC. It's an easy read, and it's incredibly informative.

I was bartending, and my one-day-to-be-husband wrote his number on the receipt with a crappy tip, waited till I was in the back, and ran out the door so he wouldn't have to face potential rejection. It was just so hilariously poorly done, I had to call him. Even awkward approaches can lead to happy-ever-afters. :)
-
Just my two-cents: When eating according to your TDEE, you don't (generally) eat your exercise calories back b/c they're already accounted for in the calculation. When I realized that, the 1800 given to me didn't sound so crazy.

1924 is under your BMR? Maybe try the scooby calculator? http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/ If 1924 is your BMR that's cool, but don't be eating under it! :)
