I finally gave up and stopped tracking my sugar...I know what's healthy and what's not, so if I'm over my sugar allotment in fruit, it's no big deal. If it's ice cream and cake...well, I'm just asking for it. So I just try to keep it down in general, but I don't stress out about it. Just my take on things.

yup. i even drag my husband along. i wake up at 4:30, get to the gym by 5 (a couple minutes past; husband is not easy to get out the door), do 30 minutes of strength training and finish the session out with cardio (45-60 minutes). it gets easier as you go along; just don't give yourself a choice. sleep in your gym shorts,…

Congratulations; that's awesome!!

way to go; that's AWESOME!!

That's true--try them out! Planet Fitness is my gym, and I love it, despite the Lunk Alarm. I've voiced my concerns to them, but that's about all I can do about it. My husband and I do weight lifting each morning (I'm not sure if it's "heavy," but it's getting heavier as we go along) and nobody bothers us. If you were…

I drink 1/4 of my protein shake on my way to the gym and the rest afterward. Back when I did more cardio I just had a low-fat 80-calorie yogurt, but the protein definitely is an improvement!

Yeah I use Body Fortress (Walmart) Chocolate Peanut Butter mixed with water and crushed ice. I love it, but my husband insists it needs milk--either way, it's only $15 (a little cheaper online), and sometimes you find coupons!

I'm about 2 pounds away from goal, and I've been doing 45-60 minutes of exercise 6 days/week since February. There were only 2-3 weeks where that number dropped to just 3-4 workouts/week. When I hit goal, I'm going to take One. Full. Week. Off. I won't go crazy and drink milkshakes at every meal or anything, but man...my…

haha I count Cracklin Oat Bran as my naughty cereal...but I eat it anyway. delicious! Also Raisin Bran Crunch. Reeses Puffs. You know. Anything with sugar that is within arm's reach.

personally i got TERRIBLE shin splints during my recent 5k (i only trained indoors and the race was outdoors). i rode the stationary bike a lot while i healed b/c it put less strain on my shins--i was able to hook my feet into the little straps on the bikes, and that helped. otherwise you know...yoga and stuff. :) but i'm…

That's exactly true, but for me, it's hard to meet my protein goal without my protein powder. I don't do protein bars b/c they're mostly sugar (and expensive), but I buy a cheap protein powder at Walmart and have 1-2 scoops/day mixed with water and crushed ice. It helps me meet my goal without killing my sugar or calories.…

do them all at once and be sure to only lift the pink weights.

probably an elliptical, but I also would love to have a treadmill. I got rid of our treadmill when we moved into a smaller space, and I wish we had been able to keep it!

great work!! you look fantastic!

and props to those who get HRMs--that's FANTASTIC. I'm just poor-poor. Like workout-clothes-from-Goodwill-poor.

The most common result I've heard is "Circuit Training," although if it's an all-cardio video (i.e. BFBM), maybe aerobics? When I did videos more regularly I would just count it as 100-200 calories burned and call it a day. Odds are for a 20-30 minutes video you won't be burning much more than that. For HIIT, say you do 1…

You look FANTASTIC. great work; i hope you're proud of yourself!!

idk, i'm not very trusting; i think it would run the scale of anywhere from mildly awkward to seriously dangerous (but yes, being in a public place does make sense). just my thoughts.

ug. I will shame-eat an entire bag of candy corn if it has the pumpkins in it. i'll be vibrating and feeling ill for 24 hours from the sugar, but i'll love every minute of the consumption process.

My workout schedule is similar to yours, except I'm *trying* to fit my 30 minutes of lifting in with my 50-60 minutes of cardio by getting up earlier. I agree with the others that 30 minutes of HIIT is often more beneficial, but it takes a hard toll on your body if you do it 5-6x/week, so try to monitor how your joints are…

Stress relief--my anxiety meds have nothing on an hour-long run! So I can eat *some* of the crap I used to eat and "get away with it" (moderation, moderation!) I've lost so much weight, I make Goodwill clothes look hot. WHAT UP.

great work!!
