  • My local grocery store has a bulk section and they sell plain whey protein, unflavored. It is about $13 and change a pound, which ends up being quite a bit cheaper than any name brand protein. I just mix it with milk. If you don't like the flavor you can add your own, but I really don't find it tastes that bad at all.
