I am 54 years old and still trying to get slimmer. I have been on a diet-modification my entire life. Now my doctors want me on a gluten-free and casein (dairy)-free diet, and I am doing a medicinal de-tox for fibromyalgia. Hopefully this straightens me all out. Best of luck to everyone.

It was seeing my neck and my upper belly (above where we measure) that I noticed were smaller. Also, the fit of your clothes changes. I just put on a pair of pants today that I was too big to wear a couple of weeks ago. Yeah!

Don't dwell on what you did wrong; give yourself credit for what you do right. People don't do that for themselves enough. And if you don't give yourself credit, who will? I agree that you could go to the message boards to get some motivation back. Do you have a MYFITNESSPAL to connect with? That is helpful also.

I also have a desk job. I have heard it is really bad for your heart to sit still all day. I would just try to get up and do some discrete stretches to get the blood flowing and circulation going.
