  • if you always say never than of course you never will see results that you want. positive thinking gets you everywhere. i'm sure you will get a tonne of responses on this one. you can do it, you just need to experiment to find what type of exercise routine works for you
  • you get out of it what you put into it. if you go half assed you will get half assed results! but if you go in hard doing everything 110% you will get a lot out of it. you get so much stronger that's what i find with doing aqua zumba. And don't think because it's in the water that it's easier because it is actually harder…
  • welcome back, it's just like riding a bike again after a long time.
  • you must feel so proud of yourself! Congratulations If you belong to a gym get a trainer to set you up with a toning program or search up routines on line. Bodyrock.tv has a lot of quick but hard workouts.
  • you are there for yourself so go have fun and just focus on the instructor and moving to the music whether you understand the moves. if not the moves will come with practice. i myself am self conscious and i go to aqua zumba and love, love, love it ! i can't yell and scream yet but man do i move ! if i do say so myself i…
  • does anyone see a 190lb'er anywhere??? i don't all i see is some kick-*kitten* tattoo beaut named Jody !!! wow you look amazing ! how much did you actually lose?
  • i liked the reply of getting photos done. except mine would be the whole fam- hubby, 3 kids and boxer baby and actually wear a sincere smile. for that matter i might try to be in all photos even ones they don't want me in (or even know me) lol. i've hidden away from the cameras for too long. soon i'll be able to say that…
  • Wow that is awesome. I just recently started putting intervals into my cardio. 5.5 has been my highest so far but I would like to up the ante. So far though with doing 2 min runs and 1 min walks the strength in my legs have improved greatly. I'm stepping lighter on my feet and it feels GREAT

  • Congratulations ! I'll never be your size but, i will end up somewhere in the 12 range. I have to go shopping too especially for summer stuff, my one pair of Capri's pretty much fall to the floor. My shirts are what holds them up!! Lol I actually feel like a clown because they are so big and baggy. Sale on at the Gap…
  • you have wonderful curves ! i have curves similar now but i can't wait to get down more in weight and have down right dangerous curves like you do !!! congrats
  • it took about 25 lbs for me to go down 1 size. so i completely understand just go one day at a time and keep chugging along. i get the same way but then i remind myself of how far i have come and that i did it all by myself ( well help from trainers) but i was the one sweatin' not them ! i'm very proud that i lost all this…
  • Wow, classy guy!! good for you showing how much of a p#@$y he really is without even realizing you were doing it. lol I'm sorry it made you so upset, understandably so. i'm all for just going in, getting your stuff done then leaving no matter who is there. but i definitely would switch gyms and lodge a complaint against…
  • i don't really bother drinking anymore because it's not worth the calories. i'd rather put something in that will do me some good. plus i'm cheap and i hate spending money on things like that. it's not as enjoyable as it once was years ago
  • i'll have to try yours because i too find the price hard to swallow
  • i had really sore knees to the point i couldn't even kneel down because i would have to use all my arm strength to get up! i went to a physiotherapist and with her help she gave me exercises (stretches) to loosen my extremely tight quads and my LT band (pretty sure of title, it runs up the whole side of your leg from…
  • everyone has their depressed moments of " I can't do this, This is taking too long, I overate a day or two now I may as well keep going, I ruined everything I did thus far" etc.... as people have said you didn't gain it all in two weeks you are NOT going to lose it in two weeks. for exercise make small doable goals i.e.…
  • a few that we do in my bootcamp classes for that size tire are: 1) stand legs shoulder width apart, knees slightly bent hold the tire out like you are holding a steering wheel and twist the tire like you would turn the steering wheel, than you could do core twists in the same position. hold it out at arms length for more…
  • you and i have identical goals of 90lbs! i have lost 37 so far. one of my biggest things to lose is a third of my (pardon the phrase) rack. i looked back at pics and didn't realize how small i was compared to now ! my shoulders will definitely thank me. Congrats on losing that much you look wonderful. side question how…
  • They are there for their reasons you are there for yours. Years ago I had same issue but got a trainer to set me up with a routine and off I went. I knew how to do each machine so I put my headphones on and got 'er done. Yes you will always have those not so bright looking beefcakes but you just smile and snicker quietly…
  • Official Welcome to MFP to you!! To lose the weight that you need to lose properly, you have definitely come to the right place. Try not to focus on your Bigger goal I focus on losing one pound at a time. If I only focused on my bigger goal I would get frustrated when I saw that my final goal was still so FAR away.…
  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you ! It also looks like your husband slimmed up a bit to keep up with you. Way To Go
  • you look absolutely beautiful. even in your before pic i wouldn't have thought that you needed to lose that much weight. really start focusing on the internal you. i hear from other MFPers that it is hard to lose that inner fat girl but it just takes time. i would talk to someone and get some pointers on how to break…
  • yes your hypothyroidism is a setback but.... how did you lose those 50lbs last year?? By yourself through your hard work and determination. And I think you can do it again. I may go to my doctor and see wh at they say on how to move forward on exercising to lose weight with hypothyroidism. You never know, there might be a…

  • great work, you must be so proud of yourself. since i've started on this journey in January i don't think I've ever had as many proud moments as I have in the last 5 months
  • how can we accept and take responsibilty for our own doings when we can't even log in our food properly ! i completely agree with you. this is the one place where you should be completely honest because how far will you actually get in your weight loss journey when you can't even admit what crap you ate? isn't that how…
  • i'd like to say you look amazing but your pics have been MODERATED and removed. Congratulations on your upcoming nuptuals
  • honestly other than my husband and some family only one guy from work has said anything and i'm at 35lbs lost ! but that makes no diff to me because I am doing this for me nnot everyone else. it's nice to get noticed but i don't rely on it for a confidence boost
  • your kids have the greatest role model they could ever ask for Congratulations, also your wife must be enjoying you more as well !
  • I've cut down quite a bit on bread but I replaced it with Ryvita Snack Bread which is somewhat like Melba toast (but MUCH better) Six slices is only 120 cals and it's nice and filling.
  • WTG it took me close to 25lbs before I could try my other jeans hiding in the back of my closet. Terrible issue to have but they all are hanging off my rear but I'm not quite small enough to drop another size. Can't wait !!! Hope size 10 comes your way soon ! you deserve it !!!
