well, i did not survive a weekend away with my husband. first night i just have to call it a binge...second day was fine...then i get home around 4 yesterday and knowing that i'm still technically in "vacation mode" so my normal healthy eating rules don't apply...what do i do? have an all out, rock on, BINGE. wow. as bad…

I was serious about spending $40. Lol. I know by fall I need to make a purchase but can't yet. Also not exactly sure where I'll put it. May be moving this summer....anyway, thanks for the advice. I'll keyp searching Craigslist for racks like these. :)
-
Hmmmm. I guess when things sound too good to be true they usually are. Was hoping that was a steal for a decent rack. I'm clueless bc so far I've been working out at home so don't see the gym equipment. Thanks!!!

i completely agree that every binge IS a learning experience now.

for me, it's breaking the habit...i remind myself that the first night is the hardest, 2nd night, 3rd night, 4th night all suck pretty badly. then it starts to get a little easier because i'm getting used to not eating. but i have to actually DO IT when i WANT to binge. if i only do this when it's easy (you know how…

Hack squats are working for me. I'm only up to 85 pounds but I'll be okay for a while yet I think. At some point I'll need a plan b.

so you think if we get past this "stage" we'll be better???? i wonder what stage comes next! haha! i'm afraid to find out! but also very excited to find out.

i honestly do MISS IT!!! gahhh!!! i mean, i know i really don't miss it. but yeah, i really do miss it. it's so comforting and FUN to huddle up on the couch with food. it was seriously (sad, i know) one of my favorite things to do!! i looked forward to it! so relaxing and yummy and... BUT when i wake up in the morning not…

in week 10 now. i'm such a little puny weakling compared to you ladies!! from your numbers, i assumed you've been doing this for years!! have most of you lifted before starting SL? or is SL your first time lifting?
-
3 month goals: 1. get lean enough to see if I actually have enough LBM to show definition (i'm a puny one) 2. figure out my true TDEE, which means no cheating on my diary!! 3. do a chin up - but this might have to wait until summer so i can practice on monkey bars at playground with my kids :) year goals: hmmmm...will have…

You can do it, jasmine!! I agree, it's so easy to say "well...I'll try again tomorrow...or I'll try again next week...or next month". A huge leap forward is saying i'll start over RIGHT NOW, right this very minute!

SO EASY to binge the day after a binge!!!! Get out of the house! You can do it! You'll feel so great tomorrow morning if you don't binge today...and that great feeling will carry over into more good days. You've got this.
-
Me: 10 Binge: 1 The binge was better though than usual...I didn't have so much guilt associated with it. And I guess I would define it as a mini-binge. Calorie-wise it was smaller than usual. And I actually stopped eating without going to bed. Also, I started it on purpose sorta...it was a cross between a splurge and a…

I could have written this! Actually, I was getting ready to write this! :) Everyone knows about my binging. I have never tried to hide it. I think it's because I'm not overweight...people really do get a kick out of watching me go to town. BUT they don't know how hard I work the rest of the time not to gain weight. They…

i totally agree that i didn't realize my patterns until i quit binging...how could i understand those patterns when i gave in every time i had a craving?? amazing that it's taken me so long to realize when my body might actually need a little more food. i'm also a week before TOM...like my body is preparing itself, which…

I agree with Laura, I love all types of exercise. But running is my favorite...such a stress reliever...free therapy! I also enjoy strength training - makes me feel like a strong beast. Haha.
-
That's awesome!!! Way better than a cartwheel. ;) I can do a couple if I cheat...jump up a little...hoping to practice on the monkey bars with the kids this summer.
-
Done!! No picture though...I have technical issues. :) My fav place to do cartwheels is down a long hotel hallway. Haha. Yes, I make a fool out of myself. :)
You will not really see huge changes to your body from lifting at a deficit. A decrease in BF will make the largest change for anyone.
isn't that the best way to decrease BF?? or are you saying it's more effective to essentially bulk then cut?

Waking up happy each morning since I haven't binged. Ahh, what a great feeling.

you CAN do it!!! :)

I'm also in the doing both to preserve muscle mass while losing camp. working really well for me!! eating around 15% below TDEE. by the way, it only took about 3 weeks for the initial 3-4 pound water retention weight to drop off. good luck!! :)

i do the 100pushups thingie  in between deadlift sets...i do 5x5, but my first 4 sets are lower weight, so like a long warm-up. then i know my arms are already done so my pushups won't affect them. works for me and gives me something to do in between sets. :)
-
nope, not late!! we are all on different days...different starting days. :) Welcome! You can do it!
-
careful...unless you are buying expensive protein powder...ever wonder why it's sweet and low-carb at the same time?? artificial sweetners. not saying YOU are using a kind like this, but wanted to point it out to everyone reading. :)

I enjoy exercise because it's a stress reliever for me. Also huddling up on the couch alone watching some stupid girly reality tv show is a fun reward. :). And food...lol...but changing that currently! It's amazing how after only 2 weeks I'm thinking less about snacking in front of the tv at night.
