aww, i wish you could send me scoops of yours too! :) it was pure protein brand from target. i bought a tub of raw meal (vegan) powder. it was EXPENSIVE as heck and only has about 1/2 the protein as the whey, it was on sale so i tried it. it tastes fine and doesnt seem to bother my system...but doesn't seem worth buying…

so, wait...designer whey doesn't screw up your insides?? this is TMI but i quit protein shakes (whey is all I think I can afford, lol) because i seriously was so gassy my husband was ready to leave me. and i was literally pooping only once a week!!! even with loads of fiber. should i try designer whey?? i'm scared. haha..

The big compound lifts work my core a lot! Squats and deadlifts. I also do decline push-ups...killer ab workout. I also used to (need to pull it back out) the Insanity Ab dvd. It's really good!

feel free to add me so you can see my food diary. i hit my protein numbers without shakes/bars...i'm not against them, i just haven't had to use them. be careful with low carb protein powders since they use artificial sweetners, hence the low carb. not everyone cares about that, but just in case you do. :)

i guess since i'd be doing them INSTEAD of normal squats, it would be for strength increase?? but i'm not exactly sure. at this point i'm looking to decrease body fat, not necessarily gain more muscle. so, yeah, i'm not sure. :)

really??....isn't that so interesting that we find them so different!!??? i run hills, so have strong hamstrings...is it possible to be "hamstring dominant" so they take over most of the work and let my quads do less work? and now that you said that goblets are brutal i am DYING to try them tomorrow morning!! lol.

yes!! glutes and quads i feel SO MUCH less with hack, which is why i'm venturing into goblets...i cannot join a gym and we are moving in july/august and then we'll have a basement so i can hopefully find a squat rack on craig's list. in the meantime...do you think goblets will better work glutes/quads???? assuming i don't…

I started with front squats, then moved to hack once my power cleaning (if you can call it that, lol) was too weak to get the bar up there. :) hmmm....now i'm wondering since my upper body strength has improved, maybe i can front squat again. hmmm... how does your goblet weight compare to your front squat weight?

I do different days...unless it's walking, then I do same day. My legs are dead after lifting in the morning, I can't run or do anything like that on the same day. Heck, sometimes not even the day after! But I guess everyone's body repsonds differently. :)

i've got 120 pounds of weights, not counting the bar weight...haven't used the dumbells yet. they are the kind that you put weight onto.

Yay! First month doing this for me. :) I'll take measurements to post tomorrow, then every Wednesday I guess. I'm also going to track weight as I'm trying at this point to maintain not add muscle and lose body fat...guess I'm cutting. So I'm expecting my weight to go down.

I do not think that I am an inspiration, but I do find my motivation from within. There isn't someone I want to look like or someone I'm trying not to look like or a health scare inspiring me. I just want to look the BEST i can look. And binging is certainly not helping. Lol.
