I spent $17/month on WW for about a year - I had no extra money in the budget so I took the plunge knowing I would be blowing our hard earned money if I stayed fat, and that really motivated me to stick with it. For quite a while it was more motivating than the fact I was losing weight.

I think I look slightly younger. I have streaks of silver hair so no one mistakes me for a teenager, though. Almost every success story I've seen, people either look younger or the same age but far better - only rarely did they appear to age and it had to do with losing those plump cheeks :)

I like sharing my diary with friends but not with random people. It's just a preference based on my personality. Obviously, if I were to ask a question like "Help, I'm not losing weight" or "am I getting enough protein," I would make it public first.

I would certainly love that! Although not as many of us would need vbacs because we could have avoided the primary c-section... sigh.

A midwife at a vbac friendly hospital is a very good choice. There will be doctors in the floor should you ned surgery. If the midwife is part of an OB group it's likely they are being supervised by the obstetricians and that's not going to be much of an improvement.

I googled and it looks like it may be coming back into use here, but very slowly and without the approval of ACOG, which it will need if it is to be offered routinely.

I've never heard of it, unless it goes by another name here, although there are other meds besides the famous epidural - however they don't wear off quickly like gas and air :( Most hospitals also have some sort of tub option now, too, but you usually have to ask for it. Being in water made it more bearable for me (when…

Yes, my breastfeeding cravings are much worse and weirder than anything during pregnancy. And when hunger hits, it's intense. I didn't want stuff like ice cream during pregnancy, but I sure do right now.

Eh since so few women get to vbac don't you kind of question the "facts"? But as far as size and weight gain are concerned, I gained 55 lbs with my second and he was 10 14... And he was a pretty easy birth.

Check out the cesareanrates.com website to see which local hospitals have the best rates and see if you can find an ICAN group to recommend a provider. A doula is practically a necessity for a vbac. I've done it twice and though I had to travel to obtain care, it was so worth it :)

A doula is there to support both of you. My husband is the biggest advocate of doulas you will ever meet. Births attended by doulas have far better outcomes for women wanting a vaginal birth. Does he know and like your friend? No, you just said he hasn't... Well, they should meet lol She can explain how she helps him help…

It's worked for me. Maybe you're more active than you think?
-
No, but I find my priorities changing. It may look like settling to other people, but I'm finding my priorities are lining up with what I actually enjoy rather than what other people think I should enjoy. I work a job that probably sounds boring but I like the people and like the flexibility. If I quit, it will be to spend…

I will eat any non-jiggling egg. I love them! Nearly every day I fry them with some cheddar and eat them on a piece of bread. Special days I put them on an asiago bagel.

You can do this! It is rough when your emotions are all over the place, but if you set little goals and look at your progress on a weekly or monthly basis you will feel great :)
-
You can definitely see it!

I read it to mean she wants to make sure that she is actually losing at a particular rate, so she can tweak her food/exercise if necessary.

I weigh in daily but only log losses (and that's after a few days at the same weight). I just find it interesting to see the fluctuations.

My now-2yr old never ate purees. He would spit them out the few times we tried. I gave him things like a hunk of apple or a large cucumber slice and he would just nom on them. He also would suck on graham crackers until they were mush and eat them. He ate a ton of food but did it in his own little way.

I'd give it a few weeks. You'll need some rest, establishing breastfeeding means being practically topless for hours of each day, and postpartum care is easier if your lady products and peri bottle are in a prominent place in the bathroom.

Garbage can with easy open lid. I line with a regular garbage bag and change it out every couple of weeks. I wash every 2-3 days and my pail is dry. I don't soak while it fills.

I haven't flown but I drove my 2 month old 12 hours each way to visit family, and used a waterproof diaper cover over a disposable diaper for extra security against blowouts. You KNOW murphy's law is strong when it comes to timing a big poo.

That is classic growth spurt :) You don't have low supply, you have normal supply and his marathon nursing days are increasing your supply in a normal way - it makes sense you would need more fuel if he is having a growth spurt. Usually those days tend to be in a row and then ease up. Are you eating ANY extra calories for…

Hopefully it will keep you full for a while :) I'd expect to go over for today, and possibly do some damage control over the course of the next week.

I stay full the longest when I eat carbs and protein and fat all together - so a couple of eggs with cheese on a bagel. That will get me closer to lunch than anything else. However, if there's any way to get a snack in before lunch, I definitely think that's the best option.

My insurance supposedly does, but as long as you look like you're making an effort on paper you get the discount. You don't have to actually improve your healthy lifestyle, the only thing you HAVE to do is get a wellness exam every year.

I don't have any stickers on my car but I do have three carseats jammed into the back seat.
