Congrats on baby :D

Take it easy! Exercising too soon will do more harm than good - my OB didn't even want me to drive or do light housework. (And while OBs can be overly cautious, they're also the ones most familiar with exactly what was stitched up inside of you and how.)

Congrats on your little one :D

baby carrots are about a dollar a bag buying yogurt or cottage cheese in a big tub popcorn is super cheap - I have a whirlypop and make it on the stove, there are also microwave air poppers pretzels can be good (sometimes I feel like salt sets off my snacking instead of satisfying it) cheese string sticks are nice, too.

Um, Raffi.

I haven't done that, but I have asked for similar treatment. For example, every ultrasound we've had with a regular tech has resulted in "concerns about development" and we are always, with every pregnancy, referred to the Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist. (And everything is fine.) For this pregnancy, I requested all…

I'd start with another brand/type of kitty litter. Maybe the place where you got her can share what they used? It probably was not quality stuff but it might be what she's used to.

If you want to know whether you're eating too much, log it and see. But don't engage your parents about it - keep that conversation between you and your doctor. Everyone gains weight differently, and some people gain a ton of water weight, which is going to suck when you weigh yourself, but is a heck of a lot different…

I think Lisa said it wonderfully. I would send an email or fb message, sooner rather than later, so she doesn't have to fake joy on the phone (I'm sure she will be really happy for you but it may also be hard) and at a time where she'll most likely be relaxing at home so she can process it privately if it's going to be…

Weighing daily is just part of what I do. I don't change my weight on MFP unless it's been steady for a few days. Especially right now when it's going up. I stay in denial as long as long as I can :P

I definitely count things like cookie batter and peanut butter. A scoop of cookie batter is a whole cookie. No, I don't count if I eat a bite of the apple my kid didn't finish. It's usually evened out by the food my kids steal from ME.

I think that if you're a broke cheapskate, then paying hard earned money might help keep you honest. Fortunately for this broke cheapskate, using a free program and seeing results is just as good :)

Oh good! Sometimes I worry that sharing will have the wrong effect.

Yes! I buy these, or an offbrand (fit and active makes one) if I can find it, just so I don't have to skimp on the parts of the wrap/burrito that I really like.

Might be scar adhesions - I've seen suggestions for using vitamin E oil (massaged into the skin around the area) to help free things up. My ICAN chapter had a meeting on scar motility, or learning how to massage your scar area and try to keep adhesions from occurring, but I didn't see anything helpful on Google.

I know that feeling! I always go late, and every day past your due date feels like an eternity... since people keep reminding you about it. I will say that I didn't have a smidge of dilation until several hours before I gave birth.

Hi Claire! I'm due right around the same time - somewhere around the 23rd-25th. I could have the baby as late as 42 weeks, though, with my providers. With my first two, I gained in the 50-60lb range and the first 35-40 dropped off by three weeks (but that still left me with a ways to go). With eating right and…

It's great sautteed with onion in an omelet. Good pizza topping. You can find egg roll and stir fry recipes that call for spinach. Creamed spinach. Lasagna with an Alfredo spinach layer instead of tomato sauce. I eat spinach salad pretty frequently, but it goes faster when you cook with it.

Kettle chips. Ceraeal with Greek yogurt. Orange juice. The occasional milkshake. Cottage cheese. Good stuff and not so good stuff, just like always :p I actually feel like my cravings are less healthy when I'm breastfeeding.., maybe because the heartburn subsides and I can tolerate more garbage?

I bloat up at first when the hormones are really high and then had very little swelling until just recently (34 wks). But in other pregnancies swelling seemed to be more of an ongoing thing for me. If you're not eating way over your maintenance calories then you can't have gained 6 pounds of fat, so at least there's that!…

I love it! Congrats on your little guy :)

So happy for you! Enjoy that baby :D

You can probably eat a little more. I would set it for 1lb/week and eat the extra 500 cals you get for breastfeeding (there are a few ways to adjust your goals on MFP). Water, oatmeal, and certain herbs can help you produce more milk. Also, if you are a few months into pumping, you may need to replace parts like tubing and…

There are places where I have felt safe enough to do it, but who knows whether some well meaning person would come along and decide to call the police.

Congratulations on your little-big guy and on a VBAC!

I weigh myself daily. I find the fluctuations interesting. If I stay the same weight for a few days, that's when I make it official (whether it's good or bad).

I was told to stop at 12 weeks because of bleeding, and tried to keep walking for a bit. Now walking is unsafe outside and I'm trying to find some prenatal yoga, it's not a workout in my opinion, but if feel better after.
