Have you thought about trying the reverse sea food diet......... see food and leave it... and eat your computer instead, lots of chips in that
-
I noticed this as well and thought it must be the minimum. Here in the UK the dieticians recommend 18 - 24 grams for women but I still think that is low unless you are a very small woman

Hi Amanda welcome to MFP, start by logging your food every day making sure you log everything that goes in your mouth even if it is bad for you and you go way over your calories. Then start trying to stick to your calories, it wont be long before you realise that you can eat so much more by making healthier food choices.…

I tried Xenical a few years ago, it had no effect on me because I eat a low fat diet anyway. I tried eating one fatty meal just to see if they made a difference and all I can say is thank God I was at home. In other words if you can stick to a low fat diet on your own you might as well save your money but if you find it…

Welcome, MFP sets the goals as 55% carbs which I think is on the high side but you can change it by doing the following Click home at the top of the page, then goals, scroll down the page and click change goals, on the page that opens click custom you can then change your percentages of carbs, protein and fat and click save

Wear shoes with about an inch to an inch and a half heels, not completely flat but not high either. Go to your pharmacy and ask them if they sell gel heel inserts to put inside your shoes they dont cost much. I know Scholl make some but don't know if you get Scholl where you live, if not I'm sure they will sell something…

Today is Thursday triumph day and I have not 1 but 2 triumphs to report which is most unusual for me. Firstly I have a real problem with steps and have not been able to go up a ladder for years. I have fold up steps ( only 2 very wide steps) in my kitchen for reaching the top of cupboards but I couldn't even use them.…

Cathy my advice for what it's worth regarding your husband would be to let the weighing food pass for a week or two. He is already carb counting in a fashion and at 73 is probably quite set in his ways. Tracking his calories is a big thing and if you try to push him too far too quickly he will probably give up. Give it a…

I've finally got here feeling much better today. I have so much to catch up on I haven't been able to read or reply to everybody but I do read everything that is posted in my news feed or on my profile. Well done everyone who has lost weight, and well done everyone else for still trying. You are all a great bunch and I am…

Hi, I am still not too good so wont be saying much or making individual comments to everyone but I have read all your posts. Well done Christy on taking control of the situation. Jolene as I said in my email Barnie adapted to the medication within 2 or 3 weeks so hopefully Hombre will too. I am glad that you have decided…

Sorry to hear of your loss I know you will be missing Chess dreadfully. I had to have my Lucy (in the picture) put to sleep a few weeks ago so I can empathise with you. My 14 year old terrier Barnie still stands on the door step calling for her and searches the house for her every night.

I'm not very creative when it comes to names but would like it to be something positive no words like loser in it. I thought I should make a contribution so as we are from different countries how about all the Ws, World Wide Winning Women, or something cheerful like Happy to be Healthy, or simple like Loving the Lighter…

Saving the muffin to include it in tomorrows calories that's what I call a triumph well done Katzpawz. My Thursday triumph is having exercised for 4 days in a row for the first time ever in my life. I decided to try using my bike as a cross trainer today but I couldn't even do it for 1 minute so I went back to using it as…

Hi tis I Sara checking in again. Well done to everyone who lost weight last week and well done to everybody else for still trying. There seems to be a common theme of back and knee pain to varying degrees with people who are over weight so I think we can all sympathise with each other. Fibromyalgia is not as accepted here…
-
If you have a free pass you might as well try it for a week Sheri but make sure they dont try to push you into anything you are not comfortable with, walking cycling, swimming etc and any sort of stretching exercises are all good for fibromyalgia providing they are built up gradually but from what I have read on the…

Wednesday weigh in --- Like many people in the group my weigh in day is Monday. I put on weight last week but didn't enter it so I actually weigh more than my profile says at the moment :ohwell: , I am hoping that by next week the figures will be correct. I have many medical issues but as everyone is introducing themselves…

I'm over 40 and have a lot to lose and I try to be supportive. I would be happy to join the group friend me if you want me, so long as the group doesn't get too big :flowerforyou:

Jam made from just sugar and fruit has been processed but doesn't contain preservatives. Same goes for fish that has been smoked the natural way. Any food that has been made has undergone some sort of process but it doesn't necessarily contain additives, colourings or preservatives.

I've got news for you, Dogtanianitis can be caught on line even when you have the sound turned off on your pc. Thanks a bunch Wiitabax I'm going to be singing this for weeks now and with Christmas coming up, the time for more socialising going on, no doubt they will soon be declaring Dogtanianitis a pandemic

What you describe sounds like a fungal infection to me and using an antibiotic cream will actually make it worse. Be sure to wash and dry it thoroughly (sp) at least twice a day and apply an antifungal powder or cream (the same as you use for athletes foot) for a couple of weeks

Glad to see you survived the op. As for the jokes typical northern humour, and us at the other side of the penines have dinner at dinner time and tea at tea time too. p.s. I dont think I could lift the amount of tins of beans that I used to carry all day every day, thanks for putting it in perspective

I run mine under the tap but then dry it again with a towel, it is only the 2 bits were the meshing is on the rear of either side of where the transmitter is that needs to be slightly damp

It used to be the case that people were told to lie down and rest with back problems but these days doctors advise you to keep moving. The reasoning being that keeping moving keeps the joints lubricated which stops it from seizing up and keeps the blood flow going which stops sediment building up on the nerve ends which…
